Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

This feature needs a lot of work. Like adding ovulation tests and allowing you to add when you actually ovulate rather than it being predicted but not changeable.. it certainly needs to allow you to add a pregnancy

Agree 100%! I would love more pregnancy features in all these health and fitness tools! I almost don't want to wear the FitBit or use any health or fitness apps when I'm pregnant because it's too discouraging between weight gain, higher resting heart rates, working out a lot less intensely, and having a harder time eating healthy when all baby wants to eat involves carbs. Smiley LOL

So are there any updates on this? Why hasn't this been added as a feature yet?

It's quite pathetic that you have a female health/period tracking system yet no pregnancy indicator. So you help people find their ovulation window but don't realize some people will get pregnant? It's ridiculous.

Hi @IsabelB, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. Please develop a pregnancy tracker.  How is it that this is not a feature? I just got my fit bit for the first time; it took me a while to get on board. This is definitely a set back.  I’m seven months pregnant, and it would be nice to monitor my pregnancy even if it’s just the basics.  It would be nice to have features like how far along I am. That could be linked to websites that give information about that phase.  Monitoring food and water intake according to pregnancy needs would be helpful. A kick counter would be nice...perhaps a countdown & symptom tracker?  Please update the Fitbit Alta so that it represents all women and not just those who are either wanting to prevent pregnancy or monitor fertility.

I am currently pregnant so the Women's Health Tracking is not useful right now because it doesn't have the option for pregnancy. I am a new Fitbit user, which I bought just to track my health and movement during this pregnancy. It would be useful for me to quickly see the reminder on how many weeks and days I am and connect to my pregnancy tracking apps.

I hope this suggestion is god.

Thank you!

Definitely not stating that this should be super extensive but from a user perspective while pregnant it’s rather annoying to push off “period start” date as being pregnant that is irrelevant. Is there an option that can be added to just state pregnant ?

I’m with so many others who don’t understand how the female tracking could be released without this feature. This isn’t a suggestion, it’s a necessity—otherwise the female tracking makes no sense at all whatsoever.

Why would ovulation be important, but pregnancy unimportant here? I was so shocked that this isn’t part of female health tracking. I hope your team is working on including this in the very next update.

Totally agree ... there’s so much missing, it feels like they’ve not really consulted any actual women.. why the morning after pill is even on there seems weird. Also the fact that the ovulation date is set in stone for you and you can’t change it, lots and lots of women ovulate on all sorts of different days in the cycle and so many things can effect it, like being sick or stress... you cant add an ovulation test result, you can’t add a pregnancy test result, it’s not really that useful if it doesn’t have these basic things.

Because the app tracks periods and ovulation, it’s baffling that there isn’t an option to track the fact that I’m pregnant.  It’s somewhat annoying that every time I log

in I’m forced to see, and asked to verify, the dates of my most recent or current period.  The reality is that I won’t have periods for almost 10 months so I shouldn’t have to experience this inconvenience every day for the duration.  Thanks.

Add pregnancy feature because my fitbit cardio score is telling me i have poor fitness but i do exactly the same amount of fitness as before i was pregnant and then my cardio score was good to very good.

Hi @Dubec314159, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is not currently planned.

Hello! I love your app, and have especially loved the female tracking section.  It has adapted to me and has become very accurate.  I was just wondering if there was any way you could add a "Pregnancy" option in there (This doesn't mean that you have to add information to track every part of pregnancy).  I was thinking of just something that would make it so that it wouldn't throw off all your data and would basically make all the info "dormant" until you input your first period post-pregnancy.  Thanks!

Hi moderators,

How many comments are necessary before a tool is seriously considered/slated for development?

I’ve been wondering the same thing.

I second this question... the whole things is starting to feel like a waste of time.

I get a notification at least once a week that a comment has been added, and it’s a mod merging a new topic with this one.  Surely at some point it’s obvious that this is a highly-desired feature.  Come on, Fitbit.
