Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

It would be awesome if there was a way to track a pregnancy. The menstrual trashing is amazingly helpful (specially with showing when cycle is late), but there isn't anything right now fit pregnancy.

If you record a pregnancy, heart rate alerts can pop up during recorded exercise and a new cardio, fat burn and peak zones should be adjusted. .

If they're ever going to get serious about female health and finally add options like a pregnancy mode, they might as well take a better look at all the Fitibit female health features. It's clear Fitbit was made for men and to attract more female customers they added a lousy menstrual cycle calendar, which doesn't even contain half the features other prominent menstrual cycle trackers like Kindara and Glow offer.

I was hoping to just use the Fitbit Web API to fetch and edit my own menstrual data instead, but they don't even provide that... Hopefully Fitbit will start to take their female customers more seriously and move female health features up the scrum boards with higher priority.

Is there any update on this? It's still under consideration... how much longer for an update?? Many of us need this for accurate tracking, not just for menstruation but for calorie intake and weight tracking during pregnancy.

Both my pregnancies, I first suspected I was pregnant as my heart rate shot up on the tracker (whereas normally it drops dramatically before period.
It would be useful to turn off the period tracker and turn on a ‘pregnancy mode’. My heart rate gets higher and higher as pregnancy goes on (as it should) - so my Fitbit keeps telling me how my heart health is getting worse and worse!

Well, with only 5654 upvotes, I guess the rest of the women had migrated to another better platform. This thread has been around and discussed since 2018, but I saw replies all the way from 2015. Fitbit, if you are looking at this, you are losing another loyal supporter who has been with you since 2014.. kthxbye! 😡

This has been under consideration for too long. This access should be available under the menstrual health.

Adding another comment here.  Looks like fitbit started a pregnancy survey that you can take in the app.  Unfortunately, I couldn't take much of it since I don't have children and am not currently pregnant.  I thought miscarriage information may be helpful as well but they didn't ask for that.

Breastfeeding burns calories and will impact daily calorie intake. It’s really it’s own category of activity as nothing is a good “close enough” option to choose

Please add pregnancy to your program. It would only make sense and I was really shocked you didn’t have one. I quit using my FitBit and was looking forward to using it for this sole purpose. Thanks.

Goodbye Fitbit. It is amazing how you haven’t listened to any of the many messages written by women asking about a pregnancy function or even a pregnancy warning to protect pregnant women. Goodbye. I was loyal to you for so long but you don’t care and you don’t deserve the support.

It seems I'm not the only one noticing that this has been around since 2015. and NOTHING has been done about it yet?! Wtf, Fitbit? I got Sense for my birthday this March and around that time I found out I was pregnant; I rushed to enter the pregnancy mode into Menstrual Health tracker - aaaand yeah... After the "customer service" I experienced with the previous one (Versa 2) going haywire a month after its warranty expiration date (yeah, "coincidence"... just like with other tech I bought in Canada), I wasn't too happy when I got it but decided to give this company a second chance. And then I find out the above-mentioned. 🤦🏽‍:female_sign:

One would think that after being taken over by Google this would become the first tracker in bringing out innovative stuff (not that pregnancy mode is innovative, but hey), but it seems I was wrong. When this one dies in about a year, I assume, I'll be switching to another brand.

Unbelieveable that this is still an issue, given it was raised by the community in 2014. Fitbit, what are you doing, ignoring a large proportion of users???A health tracker only remains useful when it helps track the health of a person. Women's health needs changes as their bodies change - be it through pregnancy or menopause.  It's 2022.  What's the hold-up already?

This should definitely be implemented (it’s been 4 years since it was suggested!!)

Having a pregnancy mode is important. Starting about week 6-7, heart rate increases by at least 10 beats per minute, including resting heart rate, average skin temperature goes up, among other things. The heart rate is kind of key. The app says I had 15 zone minutes (collectively) when all I did was walk from my car to a restaurant and tidy up my apartment. I also logged 18 zone minutes from walking around a gardening store. I’m 15 weeks pregnant. It’s only going to get worse from here. These are activities I did before pregnancy without getting a single zone minute. Pregnancy mode is important.

Please add an "I'm pregnant" setting to the female health tracker... how many years has this issue been "under consideration" for? It's very annoying because when my periods do return all the historic data I have will be thrown out of whack by the ten month+ gap (which as an endometriosis sufferer is quite important!) It's also pretty disheartening while being pregnant for my tracker to basically be telling me that I'm overweight and lazy! Do better please!

Maybe they’ll get to this for the 10 year anniversary of a pregnancy feature being suggested! 🙄

It's 2022 and are we saying that Fitbit STILL isn't able to log pregnancy in their menstrual health??? Really?

It would definitely be a great feature if this could be added! As many said, our bodies work differently during pregnancy/breastfeeding.

there should be an option for woman to update their profile to being pregnant so we can get pregnancy work out options and be able to track our exercise through it. as long as Fitbit has been an option I'm really surprised this is not rolled out yet.
