Provide SpO2/oxygen percentage for Charge 4

I see that sp02 oxygen graph is loaded for versa and sense models only at the moment.
I have a Charge 4 which also has the spo2 sensor but only the minimum data i.e. high and low variations.
It would be much more useful if I could also see the % figures too
Is this feature going to be rolled out to the Charge 4 in the near future and if not why not

I should think with this covid 19 this is a good feature

I agree! This is a feature I am hoping will roll out. I would use it every day. I prefer the charge 4 over the smartwatches, but the O2 would really improve the overall functionality during workouts! Esp in high altitudes and during allergy season! Please consider adding this feature!

With COVID-19, I’m surprised this hasn’t already happened already. Alerting to potential decreases in O2 could be an important early indicator that you need to get checked by a medical professional and would be a great feature to provide to customers since the sensor is already included. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello please how can I enable this feature? It is one of the reason I got the charge 4 but I don't know how to enable it.

I have Covid and just had a stabbing pain in chest and can't fully breath. My pulse oximetry is only arriving tomorrow pls is there a way to check it now I am worried

Hi All,

I agree. I have just received my Charge 4 yesterday and I am quite disappointed that I only have minimal data about SPO2 almost hidden in the Fitbit app.

Could you please check the possibility to:

  • Show SPO2 results on the clockface as well
  • Show SPO2 all the day not just during the sleeptime

Thank you very much

Count me in. The SPO2 clock face on my Versa 2 works great. This should be pretty simple to do for the Charge 4.

Please add SpO2/oxygen percentage for Charge 3 as well.

Yes please turn this on! It is frustrating to see the oxygen variation graph knowing that the percentages are there somewhere but simply not displayed for us to see. Please let us see the Sp02%, that is the main reason I bought my Charge 4 not knowing the percentage would be hidden from us.

@Bare_Grylls Your comment is very important and I hope Fitbit reads it. Why? Because when I had a Charge 3, I’d see spikes on the graph and was concerned about what those changes were. Some spikes were quite large but I had no way to know the actual value. Then I got a Versa 2 and with that I get my actual Spo2 range with actual percentages every morning. Well I discovered those big spikes weren’t really that big a deal. I’d have a big spike that was only 93% SpO2 on the low end. Well that’s no big deal at all. Fitbit needs to give these numbers to owners of Charge 3 and Charge 4 users so they don’t freak out. I was a bit concerned with just the graph, but the actual percentages showed it was not that big a deal. This is very important and should be very easy for Fitbit to do.

also body temperature measurement . why not make something that already exists available for other products? Charge 4 users are not worth the effort of fitbit?

To be frank I am disappointed with the Charge 4 on a number fronts.  Much is made of the SPO2 sensor and yet the band and App do not give the most basic information required for managing exercise, O2 percentage readings.

Percentage variances at night are interesting.  But monitoring response to exercise is way more important.  i too have asthma.  And we are in Covid times.

I think the Charge 4 was misrepresented.

I agree with the addition of this feature.

I too would like to see an update to the O2 info. I am trying to use the info to see how it relates to wearing my CPAP mask during different hours of the night. Without a better time and percentage scale it’s difficult to accurately know what’s happening. Would also be nice to see a read out of O2 during my workouts. Also important information with COVID

Please add for Canadian update to Charge 4

1) SpO2 sensor/reading

2) ECG Sensor

Thanks!

I agree with adding this feature. I bought this tracker in hopes that this feature would be able to be viewed on the watch face itself alongside of heart rate stats in real time. I have read a few articles that state this feature has already been added or will be added to the Charge 4. They claimed that the SpO2 measurement is viewable from the watch screen. I bought this tracker for the use of being able to see my heart rate and SpO2 data from the watch face at any given moment.  Even if the data is not 100% accurate I'm sure most would agree that seeing a close accurate is better than not seeing anything at all. Sadly enough this is not the case but instead only a possibility that is one firmware update away if Fitbit chooses to do so. I would like to see this feature added as well as all the others that has posted on this topic.

Thank you.

bought this tracker only after reading this is new functionality available.

I think running SPO2 24/7 would drain the small battery and is probably the reason it is not there.   However a spot reading would be possible with a firm wear update. There is no temperature sensor so that is not an option.

Turns out the Charge 4 is an elegant but quite dumb device in terms of controllable functionality.  Adding this would be valuable!

thanks
