Rearrange or customize Charge 3 & 4 apps/stats view/Today

I'd really like the ability to rearrange the built in apps on my Charge 3. The app I'll use most often is the Weather, which is on the last page! I have to swipe a bunch to get to it. The next one would be the timer app, which is on the second page. The most frustrating part is that on some of the help pages, the images show the apps in a different order! I've spent ages trying to figure out how to adjust it.

Just throwing in my two cents on this post to keep it alive!!  What the heck??  Why would fitbit go backwards with their capabilities??  It truly makes me crazy that every time I want to look and see where my steps are, that is NOT the screen that pops up. With the Charge 2 I could tell it to land on the steps "screen" each time it woke up.  I also only want to see three screens and hate to scroll through what feels like a hundred to get to those.

Anyhow, hope someone is paying attention at Fitbit!!

As do I!

I just received and set up my new Charge 3 this morning and am absolutely appalled that I can't customise the main stats and their ordering, or the order in which I get to the apps. I love the new weather app but I've twice already accidentally activated the breathing exercises trying to get to it. AndI don't want to have to scroll past drinks tracking (which I don't use) or my weight to see how close I am to my 5-day exercise goal!

What a massive step backwards from my beloved Charge 2! I almost wish I'd found another Charge 2 (mine is sadly almost dead) online rather than upgrade to the Charge 3 but I really wanted the swim tracking feature.

Fitbit, please consider releasing an update for this asap!

Couldn’t agree with you more. A bizarre step backwards.

I feel that! It seems we all agree that this was a huge step backward for Fitbit.

What's the word on this update. I just upgraded to a charge 3 as my 2 died. Very disappointed and shocked I couldnt rearrange the apps, step/cal etc info.

I don’t know, I hope this gets to the people at Fitbit. It still says that this is First Steps, but this has been getting a lot of responses from the Fitbit community, I hope we get the update we need.

It's crazy that there has not been one recent response from Fitbit on this.

Big disappointment.

Fitbit support wrote this in Twitter DM to me in response to my question about this thread on 3/25/2019:

"We get what you're saying. This feature is currently not on our product roadmap. However, we’re always looking to enhance the Fitbit experience for our users. To show your support for the suggestion, feel free to vote for it here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Customizable-Watch-Faces-Charge-3/idi-p/3019475 Hope to see you there."

Doesn't sound to me like they have any interest in adding the re-organizing capabilities that were on the Charge 2 to the "upgraded" Charge 3. I'm betting they are not working on this at all but might add back to a Charge 4 so then we all have to buy yet another tracker.

Terrible way of running a company. I was a loyal Fitbit owner (several models over the years). However, my next Fitbit will be anything but Fitbit.

I love Fitbit and will probably get another, whether or not it is the next one they come out with depends on if they wise up with their “upgraded models”.

I’m sure Fitbit will deny this. Recently I have received several emails from Fitbit offering a deeply discounted Charge 3. It sounds to me like they might be clearing their inventory in preparation for a new product. (Charge 4?) I wonder what features it will offer and what will be dropped.

Agree, there marketing has there mind stuck on something and is not listening to the community, is their loss ...
100% agreed. I don’t think they even responded to this post...

After a few days with my new Charge 3, the thing that I find the most offensive about the lack of customisation is that female health tracking can't be turned of. For me personally, it's just a nuisance because I'm 8 months pregnant and so don't need it right now but might go back to it in a few months, but not being able to remove this at all can be quite distressing to many women such as those suffering from conditions like endometriosis or early-onset menopause. In particular because the feature itself is so poorly designed that it can't cope with anything apart from women with a fairly typical menstrual cycle - no way of indicating pregnancy, skipped periods, menopause etc (not an issue for this thread as I know there are entire threads dedicated to this subject - although Fitbit have again indicated that they have no interest in improving this).

I agree, the female health tracking needs major improvement, especially if they want to compete with other FREE apps out there.

I agree with many of the comments here. one of the big selling points of the Charge HR 2 was the ability to re-arrange the app order, and decide what notifications to get. I also am with the group of users that would really prefer to be able to turn off the relax feature. I keep thinking I getting notified of messages. I got this to track things like steps and heart rate during workouts, not show me how to breath.

I was extremely hopeful with the new firmware update that our voices would have been heard with regard to customization.  It's beyond me why Fitbit has gone backwards!!

Can a moderator please update this thread on when we will be getting the capability to have more control of our devices?

I totally agree!  This is something you can do with the Charge 2, I would expect to be able to do the same with the Charge 3 - in fact, I'm kind of surprised you can't since there are so many screens/tiles to swipe through!

Referring back to the original input, given nine (9) months ago, and apparently agreed to by some 1600 folks, please let us deactivate Charge 3 functions we do not wish to use and reorder the functions we wish to use, similar to what we were able to do on the Charge 2 HR.

We would appreciate a concrete update about what challenges remain, what relative priority this mod has among mods being moved forward, or something to show significant progress.  If it's a bad news story of some sort, (just not gonna happen, too many higher priority mods in the queue means it'll be another 8 months, etc)  just be up front with us.  We won't be happy in the short run, but with your honesty creating accurate expectations, our long-term Fitbit loyalty will be stronger.

Please add me to the list of people who want to be able to customize the Charge 3 screen to suit what's most important to the user. Heart rate is the what I want to see first when I'm doing interval workouts and I just want to raise my wrist and see it - I'm not interested in steps during interval training. The Charge 3 isn't just a glorified pedometer. It's supposed to be a health and fitness tracker. For that reason, I want to be able to re-order what matters to me in terms of my own health and fitness on the Charge 3 screen. Thanks for passing this on and I hope this capability is added on the next software update. If the Charge 2 can do it, certainly the Charge 3 can.

I am a new user of Fitbit and bought a Charge 3.  I too would like to be able to reorganize the apps and/or remove the unnecessary ones.

Loved my Charge 2 and the ability to truly customize it.  I upgraded to the Ionic so I could track swimming.  I wanted to downsize again and was extremely excited to purchase the Charge 3 so I could have the smaller watch with the swim ability but have been completely baffled by the lack of customization.  Please fix this!!!!!!

It would be very helpful to rearrange the order of the stats on the fitbit charge 3 itself. People have different stats that are more important than others. I would prefer to be able to see my calories burned and I don't need my weight and water intake on my fitbit

Need flexibility with menu items, such as an option to include/exclude specific items and re-order them as they appear on the screens.
