Rearrange or customize Charge 3 & 4 apps/stats view/Today

I'd really like the ability to rearrange the built in apps on my Charge 3. The app I'll use most often is the Weather, which is on the last page! I have to swipe a bunch to get to it. The next one would be the timer app, which is on the second page. The most frustrating part is that on some of the help pages, the images show the apps in a different order! I've spent ages trying to figure out how to adjust it.

New fitbit Charge 3 owner here and I'm simply horrified that the device does not allow me to customize what is displayed!

I don't want my weight to be visible from my wrist. I'm a whole lot less likely to be showing and sharing my device to friends if it's sharing info I don't want to have on display.  Please change it so that we can customize what appears on our wrists, and in what order. It's imperative if the device and the company are to thrive. Thank you for taking it under immediate consideration.

Use the app on your phone to reorder the apps. And you can also remove the apps you do not want to see. Then...it will appear that same way on your wrist after syncing.

@ePeg I wish this were true, but it is not, not on the Charge 3.

@ePeg ColumbiaView is correct, it is not 😞

It's simple.  My Charge 2 displayed my main goal on the clock face, which happened to be calories. All I did to make this happen is to designate "calories" as my main goal. Charge 2 respected my choice of main goal & displayed what I was interested in - CALORIES, *NOT* STEPS. My Charge 3 has NO clock face that shows my main goal - calories, at a glance, without having to waste time tapping to get past other stuff. Had I known the Charge 3 lacked one of the main features I bought it for, I never would have bought it. My C3 is my 4th Fitbit, & it's the first one that's a  disappointment. I hope that Fitbit resolves this by introducing a clock face that shows one's main goal, (as in the past), rather than an arbitrary display of the company's choosing, namely, steps.

It still baffles me that this wasn’t automatically available on the Charge 3. I’d understand if it was a new feature that hadn’t already existed on previous devices, but that isn’t the case here.

Both the Charge 2 and Alta HR were customizable, and that was the key to them being successful products. With customizability, you were really able to make the device your own. When I got my first Fitbit, I got the Alta HR due to it having a longer battery life than the Charge 2. The way they promoted the Charge 3, made it feel as though you were getting the best of both worlds. You were getting the additional features of the Charge 2 and the battery life of the Alta HR, with the bonus of an updated look.

I returned my Charge 3 within days of getting it because it felt like such a downgrade.

Six months of customers and dedicated users begging for options and abilities they had with devices they owned and LOVED. For what? No result. Something that should have been integrated from the get go shouldn’t only now be “under consideration”.

I’ve been waiting for the upgrade I never got with the Charge 3. All that’s happened is they’ve discontinued the Alta HR which is the ONLY Fitbit I could wholeheartedly support and recommend.

Ultimately, I’ve decided to find my upgrade with something other than Fitbit. I do not want to wait until they get it right again, the way they nailed it with both the Charge 2 and Alta HR.

why is the weather app (new exciting feature for the Charge line) all the way in the back? Please let us customize the  arrangement of our apps.

@ePeg Even if it did work that way, which it doesn’t, there are some apps I want to use within the app. I use the app to log my weight, but that isn’t something I want visible on my wrist. I want to be able to show off my device, rave about it to friends and family who may be interested in investing in one, without having to show my weightloss or when my next period is.

well said princess peach!

I'd really like to be able to turn off some of the things that are displayed. For example I'd rather not be reminded of my weight every time i scroll through and i don't use the water feature in the app so that is useless to me too.  It would be great to not have these on display.

Agree. I’d like to remove weight and water consumption from the watch face. Added flexibility for these stats and the apps in terms of what appears and in what order seems like a must.

Hi, a little late to the forum game but I would love this as well. It would really help my Charge 3 fit into my life even better by focusing on my needs and the reasons I chose the this particular FitBit in the first place. Thanks!

I would like the ability to disable/turn off the relax app on my wife's charge 3.  It's an app she doesn't use and would like to declutter her display.

Agree. I have Steps and Stairs on the first screen of my Charge 2; I rarely look at anything else.

Not sure why people are even still paying attention to this obviously Fitbit isn't...  If you haven't bought a Charge3 don't if you have and can return it do so.

I agree, it would be so much more practical if we could choose which tiles are shown on the tracker and to be able to change the order ourselfs.

I think that the question we should be asking is why Fitbit refuses to implement these changes.  What financial motivation do they have to require us to display information that isn't relevant to us?

It is a valid point.

If they don't understand the use case of a Smart Watch and want to turn it
into a full smartphone then they will miss the boat. Any additional swipe
or button press I require to do on this watch which is clunky at least
compared to smartphone navigation is for me a waste of time. I can use my
smartphone for that in a much better way and faster way.

The smartwatch need to give me in a glance the information that is
important to me without additional effort or pressing a button or swiping a
screen or tapping a screen. For each person this might be different and
also the requirement might change in time for a given person.
For me my personal requirement is to see the time, the amount of steps
completed and the current weather. That is it and for sure I have no intend
to start using a smartphone as a watch.

If Fitbit does not understand this business case they will miss the boat
eventually.

I wholly support this idea.

I'm on an Alta HR right now and thinking of upgrading to the Charge 3 for the altimeter and swim functions. However the cluttered display and limited clock faces are what's stopping me from making the switch. I'm not even considering the Ionic and Versa, cause the design of the first is kinda ugly tbh, and well i want a band that i can wear with a watch - without looking like a complete idiot.

Please push updates to the software! It's been 6 months since the Charge 3 entered the market and Fitbit doesn't seem to be listening to its consumers.
