Remove unearned step and floor badges

Recently, my family and I rented a bunch of Jeeps and took them over some mountain passes in the Colorado Rockies. It was an amazing time. I had my Fitbit with me.

The roads were basically constructed of boulders and therefore pretty ...bouncy. At the end of both days, my Fitbit had registered 100+ flights of stairs. The second day I got my first 150 Flights badge. I would love, love, LOVE to have the badges for these days revoked. I didn't actually earn them and I don't like the idea of having a badge I didn't earn. And 150 flights of stairs is a tough one to earn legitimately. 😞

Can you all implement a way on the backend so that users can petition to have unearned badges removed?

I'd like to be able to delete lifetime badges as well.  A weight recording was entered incorrectly, and now I have a lot of lifetime weight badges that I haven't really earned, but that I can't delete.  Thanks for considering this!

help me fitbit. i have 22 100,000 steps in a day badges and every single one is built upon a throne of lies.

I really like (or at least I used to like) the social aspects of Fitbit, but if I have a whole slew of badges and achievements that are obviously fake, then whats the point?

Are you saying that you did not do 100,000 steps in a day? The badges tell you what days they where earned.

It sounds more like a step counting error.

For removal see my instructions above.

@Rich_Laue

Maybe you just have to be persistent enough. I just got the standard 'we can't do that' and offers of free extra wristbands runaround on live chat.

Did you contact support-fitbit@fitbit.com directly, or did you have to contact them somewhere on the site?

Yeah. It was definitely a step counting error. My Fitbit Zip was behaving though I was doing a non-stop 24/7 madman sprint. I hadn't been wearing it for a bit, and by the time I noticed and took the battery out, I had accrued tens of millions of extra steps.

@seafea, please see this post, about getting badges removed.

I have contacted support twice about this issue. I added my wife on my Aria scale and it did the same to both our LIFETIME badges. Why let users delete GOAL badges and not LIFETIME. I really dont wish to have to create another account to start over as I will lose everything.

I too had a fitbit that recorded way too many steps, and would like to be able to remove badges I have not earned.

We used to be able to delete unearned badges, specifically under the Weight tab on the Dashboard, by hovering the mouse over it and then clicking on the Trashcan that popped up. That feature has been removed. The ability to delete unearned badges, any badges, would be appreciated. I want to look at my Dashboard and see the things I really did, not the ones the tracker thinks I did.

Yes please.

Made a typo with weight entered setting up a goal and got plenty of weight loss badges.

For some reason when adding an Aria scale it gave me weight loss badges for everything between 5 and 55lbs weight loss... awarded twice. While I'd like to be 55lbs lighter already that's just not the case.

Also made a typo and hit enter too quickly - have 100 lbs worth of weight loss that need to be deleted.  Need the trashcan back!

Fitbit is working on getting it fixed, feel free to check out the thread here: Can I delete weight loss badges?

I fat-fingered my weight entry...100lbs to low.  I caught it seconds later and corrected it, but it was too late.  I was awarded 18 badges I did not earn.  Now I cannot get rid of them.  There used to be the option to delete badges.  Why would this be gone?  Please bring this back.  The badges are meaningless to me, and kind of counterproductive....there is nothing to shoot for now, unless I want to target being 70lbs underweight.

I was using the weight lost part of the app. When by mistake i entered that i was 17lb. The app didn't try to corrected and have me an award for losing 170lbs. Now that i have fix my little mistake i notice it wont give me the awards for 10lbs lost or any other. It be nice to be able to reset it, or when we start a new goal that it resets the lost/gain count automatically.

I think this would be a good feature. Especially with the interconnected devices. My girlfriend and I were trying to connect an Aria scale and we accidentally set one of her weigh ins as mine thinking that it was a scale profile. (New scale with only two entries.) Well it turns out that she had just weighed in twice after resetting the scale and the number just hadn't updated. Now my badge have recorded all the way up to 65lb of weight lose. Which is wildly wrong...

I entered my weight wrong and I was awarded about 15 badges I didn't earn. I hate seeing these and I wish I could delete them. I try to keep things as accurate as possible. Please fix this!!!

Can't believe this isn't a standard function. One clerical error logging weight and I've lost 90 kilos in a day and earned all the badges to match. Very annoying I can't fix this immediately

Please add the trash icon back to remove unearned weight badges. Thx!

I have unearned badges I need to delete too. It bugs me that they're there.

Needs to be a better way to remove steps, stairs, and badges. If I put an hour in of driving it takes away maybe 10 floors out the extra 200 I didn't earn.

Fitbit Aria incorrectly recognized my 8 year old as me and gave me weight loss badges all the way to 65 pounds!  Had to log a support case with help to correct this.  This feature used to be available through the website but is no longer available.  C'mon fitbit... you can do better!

Good afternoon. I have been wearing a fit bit religiously for years. I have moved up from a flex to a charge HR to a Blaze and now I am LOVING the Ionic! I have been on a weight loss journey for the past year and a half. I wanted to start 2018 fresh with fresh goal. I would like to request an enhancement to be able to delete or reset the badges (by category) or individually. I use them as a motivation tool and have pushed myself to earn them. I don’t want to create a new account because I don’t want to erase all of the other data. I have talked to my fit bit family and they too would love this option. Thank you for your time and consideration.

This seems to be a problem that almost anyone can face.  There are so many situations in modern life where a Fitbit can be subject to situations where it is exposed to movements that mechanically simulate steps. Once this has happened, and an impossible badge has been awarded, it removes permanently badge earning as an incentive.  Also, following illness or injury, removing previously awarded, but now unobtainable, badges could be used as an incentive to recovery and rehabilitation.

Please take up this suggestion and implement it.

Also, if you make a typo when you enter your weight, you can accidentally weight loss badges you really haven't earned yet. And then you have NO WAY to delete them, even if you correct your weight. That is so frustrating!
