Remove unearned step and floor badges

Recently, my family and I rented a bunch of Jeeps and took them over some mountain passes in the Colorado Rockies. It was an amazing time. I had my Fitbit with me.

The roads were basically constructed of boulders and therefore pretty ...bouncy. At the end of both days, my Fitbit had registered 100+ flights of stairs. The second day I got my first 150 Flights badge. I would love, love, LOVE to have the badges for these days revoked. I didn't actually earn them and I don't like the idea of having a badge I didn't earn. And 150 flights of stairs is a tough one to earn legitimately. 😞

Can you all implement a way on the backend so that users can petition to have unearned badges removed?

Stepping Up

I got my first fitbit earlier this week, yesterday my 2 year old daughter stepped on the scale and it synced to my account saying I lost over 200lbs.
I earned every badge from "5lbs lost", through "200lbs lost" as well as "Weight goal achieved" I went onto the webpage to delete my unearned badges but to my surprise there is no way to delete badges earned in error, even after you delete the incorrect weigh-in from your history.
Looking further into it, this feature apparently used to exist, but was removed.

Other users have mentioned issues with bumpy cars giving them high step totals, or invalid flights of stairs badges.

Since from my perspective, the badges are kinda personal way of tracking your progress, its not helpful if you cannot delete badges earned in error - why would I want credit for something I did not do?

Please create 1 or both of the following:

1) Enable a way for users to delete badges they earned in error (maybe have a text box or multiple choice box when deleting so fitbit can find out why badges are being deleted)
2) Have a notification popup when a data entry is way out of standard and ask to confirm if it is correct before rewarding the badge.

Stepping Up

I was recently on a trip in Guyana and spent 8 hours on a VERY rough road being tossed around in the back of a Land Cruiser. I ended up registering over 31,000 steps and 362 floors. Based upon how little time I was actually moving that day, I was more likely around 5,000 steps and 6 floors. I already had a badge for 30k steps, so not a concern, but now I have several floor that step badges that I have not yet earned. It sure would be great to delete them and earn them on my own.

I have a similar story.  My wife steps on the scale records the weight as my own.  60 pound badge earned quickly.  Then Fitbit support tries to help me and trys something, 190 pounds lost badge earned.  This also has messed up my goals because I can't enter a goal that it thinks I've earned already.

It seems as though this thread just continues but gets no traction.  You would think after almost 4 years of requests, and different application updates this is something that could have been implemented by now.  The longer this goes on unless you start from scratch with a brand new account and fitbit, it makes the badges become worthless.  It's shame this hasn't even been looked at again.

Until then contact Fitbit and ask them to remove the badges on question.

...that's the whole reason I posted here originally.  I wouldn't have requested the enhancement if they could have done it for me.  That's where I started.   Fitbit support told me it was not possible and to submit an enhancement request.  That would be great if it was that easy.

Fit bit can not remove badges. I asked. They said they would take the
suggestion back to their development team and also ask that I post on the
community page.

We need the option to delete badges. Yesterday was a very windy nor'easter and the storm caused my fitbit to log 62 floors. I don't want the badges that came with it, as I did not earn them. When looking through the forums, it looks like the ability to delete weight loss badges has been removed as well. That's ridiculous. Some people misenter their weight. Some people gain weight back and want to restart their weight loss journey. The only reason I own a Fitbit is to keep me motivated. Earning a badge is an awesome boost. Falsely earning a badge can be very demoralizing.

I could not agree more.  The frustrating thing was that "Delete badges" used to be an option.  They removed it for some unknown reason, and they are not receptive to what is an obvious demand to put it back.  It cheapens the whole badge-earning functionality.  Once you have a few unearned badges, you stop caring about them.

My husband wore my fit bit and earned me a 40,000 steps badge.  It drive me crazy that i see this all of the time.  Please find a way to remove this from my account.

My fitbit didnt reset one night and my step count carried over a day and caused me to earn two badges I shouldnt have earned. These badges have been goals I have been working towards and to have them achieved without me doing the work is very upsetting. Please allow there to be a way to remove unearned badge - especially if it was caused due to a fitbit error!!! My case number was #23925388 in case there is anything that can be done.

My Fitbit didn't reset at midnight (Customer Support says its a glitch that is effecting a lot of people right now).  I tried all the procedures to reset, but to no avail. It's adding floors and steps from yesterday and today and giving me badges I didn't earn.  I want to rightfully earn all my badges.  It makes me sad to look at the 2 false badges (well, 2 so far, the day is young) I wanted to earn with hard luck.  It feels like cheating. Smiley Sad

Its sad to see that despite all these years of requests, the devs cant make a simple change for users to be able to delete a specific day of activity.

Very lazy indeed!

I am also frustrated by the inability to remove badges.  I cruise often and each time the rolling of the waves makes my fitbit think I am climbing mount Everest.  Also I have the bad habit of gaining and losing weight.  I would love to be able to remove the weight badges that no longer apply so I can have the experience of receiving them again as I earn them again.

I accidentally logged the wrong weight for today and got 4 badges that I cant delete now.

Seeing this topic and requests few years old makes me sad and wondering how come this option hasn't been implemented yet?

Please do that. 🙂

Whilst asleep, my Charge 4 credited me with 77,648 steps in a 15-minute period. This is clearly impossible but there's no way to delete these erroneous steps. I've now been credited with a "Rocket Boot" badge (90,000 steps in a day) making a mockery of my real badges. There should be a way to remove wrongly-credited steps.
