Samsung Health & Fitbit integration

Can we please have something that syncs our fit bit stats with our S Health stats? It's annoying to have multiple fitness platforms especially now that androids are becoming more and more popular as are fitness apps. It would be nice to do it all from one place.

My old fitbit one died misteriously last november and I am deffinetly putting off geting a new fitbit until thay are compatible with S Health. Kind of a shame that after years of coexistance this is still not an option for fitbit users.

It's actually very surprising that S Health doesn't integrate with Fitbit data. Would definitely love my Fitbit more than I already do.

I use a fit bit flex and when my battery goes dead I use the S Health app on my Samsung S 5. Can some one help us to sync fitbit to this app?

I too would love to see S Health syncing with fitbit. My company recently switched our wellness program from Virgin Health to fitbit. Virgin Health originally needed a separate pedometer to sync to the phone's app for uploading. Then an update allowed it to sync with S Health and use the phone's sensors. This was great! One less device to carry while running (I don't even keep my truck keys in my pocket when I run). One less device to maintain batteries in, or buy batteries for. S Health uses GPS to map out my runs and bike rides, so I can remember how long a route was when planning distance goals. Can fitbit do that? Not as I can see on the app. In fact, I can't even see how many steps I've taken in the Android fitbit app (unless that's because I don't have the fitbit device yet, but again that's stupid since the phone has all the hardware to support that).

So now I need 2 devices again, two apps, and two accounts to keep track of. The point of fitness apps is to get people to exercise, and see how much or how little they do each day. When it becomes too much of a pain in the ass to track, it's not worth it. I have a simple, one-line, widget on my home screen showing how many steps I've taken via S Health. Low count means I need to get up and move more. I can't even get that from the fitbit app without the device apparently. Somehow it can guess how many calories I've burned, but nothing else. Completely useless at the moment.

I am disappointed that this issue is not getting the attention it deserves.  After 2 years, Fitbit still thinks its a good idea to make syncing to S Health available, but has done nothing about it.  In this technologically driven world, you need to get on it or risk getting left behind.  Come on Fitbit keep up!

Agreed. Had this disdussion with several people at lifetime ftiness, we all want our wearable to sync with one another (phones included) samsung is one of the largest manufacturers on the market, and so many people actually use SHEALTH for the food tracking, O2, heart rate, steps, etc. It would seem a no-brainer to integrate with their software for a full spectrum of services to your end users.

There is also a possibility of a deal with AECOM and the it health smart awareness program. So many of us in NY department at AECOM have samsungs as well as other phones. 85,000 employees could contain a pretty big pool of potential customers that need to track steps and constant heart rate monitoring along with caloric intake. Again merging with shealth is a no braier.

I got an email from fitbit about syncing with S Health.
Fitbit says it up to S Health to want to join with Fitbit.
I wish one of them would decide !

Funny you should mention that... I just received the following email from Samung after trying to figure out where to make my request regarding S Health:

"Thank you for your inquiry. We would ask that you submit your product idea to the email address below:
spartner@samsung.com "

I say we all send an email here that basically makes the same request.  Hopefully Samsung/S Health will not ignore us all!  🙂

Just sent them an email myself! Would LOVE for these 2 to sync. I bought the fitbit charge HR specifically for heart monitoring since I can't get my app on my S Health to open in time to catch an issue I have. This would be PERFECT if they could sync! Thanks for sharing the email information!

i bought my fitbit only to shut up the samsung health notifications, and tho i love the product it doesnt deliver how i thought it would. There's a lot of room for improvement and s health sync would be a no-brainer

It would be especially useful for when I have to charge my Fitbit but still have things to do. I had a discrepancy of almost 1,000 steps because of this.
