Screen display rotation of 180 degrees on the Charge 3/4

I would like to be able to rotate the screen display of 180 degrees on my Charge 3/4 so that it can be worn upside-down on my left wrist so that the button is on the right-hand side of the watch, for easier access.

Agreed! It's difficult/annoying to pull my sleeve up to press the button, especially if I'm wearing any sort of coat/jacket or suit

Yes I can understand that the device was designed for left-handed people, but surely their experience shows how helpful it would be to have the device be adaptable for both left-handed and right handed people.  having the button where we can reach it would be really useful.

Please please please offer this swap. Very un-ergonomic the way it is now.

Would appreciate this feature

I like to wear my watch on my left hand, and pushing the button with my pointing finger on my right hand, but now I have to use my thumb, which is just awkward.  A great solution would be the ability to rotate the screen 180 degrees.  Shouldn't be difficult to add as an option.

This would make using the device more comfortable.

Please enable this feature. it was available on the original Fitbit where you could choose right or left handed operation which rotated the face. I don't understand why this isn't an option now. I wear the Fitbit on my right wrist and the position of the button is awkward. Which also makes the screen swiping backwards went on the right wrist. Seems to have been a major oversight in developing a product specs.

We need 180 rotation on Versa 2. Hard to believe that such up to date technology is missing this feature!

I own the Versa 2.  I would really like to be able to flip the screen or have a mirror screen mode.  The reason being is I'm a lefty and I wear it on my right arm and I'd like the button to be on the right-hand side of my wrist so I can use my thumb to push the button opposed to my finger.  Also when I'm doing pushups the top of my hand presses the button down.

If this article from WashingtonPost is reliable, then 90% of the population is right-handed: https://www.washingtonpost.com/health/the-big-number-lefties-make-up-about-10-percent-of-the-world/2...

Here is the less than 5 min video tutorial for your smart(!) engineers to rotate a graphics using rotation matrix: Rotation Matrix - Interactive 3D Graphics

If usability is not in your dictionary then it is perfectly okay to wait for eternity for all 90% right-handed users to vote on this issue.

You make me feel stupid as a software engineer and a new user.

Yes just purchased a Charge 3 and was disappointed to not be able to rotate the watch face. I have limited mobility and cannot use the side button effectively facing the way it is. To be able to rotate the watch face would alleviate this problem.

Sadly, I think we are all wasting our Time. We are fighting against the inertia inertia of a bad design decision

I am left handed and wear my device on my right wrist. On the Charge 2 HR model the face display would rotate depending on how you wore it. The newer model does not, and with that being said anytime I wear at the gym or during activities that I wear gloves (Where it’s not easy to see my  device)- anytime I extend my wrist the button to pause or stop activity is pushed and it stops tracking. I just want future models to take into consideration left handed users and design a device with either a less sensitive button or watch face that can rotate to be more friendly to users who wear on their right wrist.

Hi @Jess.a.k, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback about adding left handed compatibility for the Fitbit Charge 3. This feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here to keep this board organized.

Throwing my two cents into this conversation! Accessing the button on the left wrist is really awkward. I'm at the point where I'm considering returning the Charge 3 and going with another option because it feels so user-unfriendly. I'd love to be able to flip the display 180 degrees.

I wonder if any of fitbit's products offer this feature.

Yeah apparently an older mode had it, but not the newer one.

You would think that someone working for Fitbit would monitor these boards and realize how many people are annoyed by this feature’s absences. Please add it back.

I just received my new Charge 3 yesterday and I was baffled by the button being on the left. It is so incredibly awkward! Why has an orientation change not been made available?  I was so excited to come back to fitbit, but this is a huge design flaw. Why is it on the left to begin with?

I would be interested in hearing the developers reasoning as to why the button was placed on the left, and also would this be a hardware or software fix.

Add the ability to change the orientation of the Charge 4, so the user can choose which side they want the button on.
