Search bar to find workouts, recipes and mindfulness sessions

We need a way to search for exercise and mindfulness sessions . Searching for key terms like "walking" or "stress" would help us find relevant sessions faster.

Have a search engine as well as filters for workouts on the Fitbit app. If I want to find a running video, a dumbbell workout, or anything else, I shouldn’t have to scroll through a hundred videos that don’t even pertain to my search. I end up using workouts on other apps because they’re easier to find and narrow down to what I want.

Hi @AngelinaMalik, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about adding a search engine as well as filters for workouts on the Fitbit app. I've moved it into a similar request. I think that a lot of users would like to have this option on their Fitbit devices. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

Thank you again for your participation in the Feature Suggestions Forums.

Yes, pretty astonished this wasn't a feature from the get go...

I would like to search by name as well as filter by type of activity and by required equipment

I see this has been requested for over a year. It seems like such an obviously beneficial change.

Please can we have an update about whether anything is going to happen.

Many of us have requested this over time and I don't understand what the process is to get something this simple and basic implemented. Ever other workout app especially the premium ones have this feature even on the free versions. It's kind of ridiculous that Fitbit with its popularity and money wouldnt make the update.

As I was scrolling through the endless workouts today, I thought that I must be an idiot for not knowing how to find the search feature. Now I know for sure that it doesn't exist. I would like to renew premium after my free trial is finished, but now I'm having second thoughts...

Adding another comment supporting the addition of a search function for workouts. Without the ability to search the workouts for what is useful for me, I find it almost useless to pay for premium.

Just recently started to take more advantage of the Premium workouts and was very surprised (and annoyed) to find there is no search or filter option for workouts. Scrolling through possible options is a waste of time when I already know what I need/want. I’ve tried to Star things as I find potentially interesting workouts but don’t always remember. If the workout section can’t become easier to use, I’ll focus my efforts (and money) on other workout apps. Convenience is one of the main “selling points” for app-based content. If it’s inconvenient, why bother.

Agree, seems crazy that you can't search!

I would like to be able to search for specific workouts. If I'm looking for a yoga workout or a cool down, it would be easier to type in "yoga" or "cool down" than to scroll through the various categories hoping to find what I'm specifically looking for.

Yes, yes, and YES!!!  I'm a new Premium user (free trial), and it seems obvious that a search function is needed for the videos!  Who has the time or patience to scroll through them all?  (I don't.)  Being able to quickly find an appropriate video (length, activity type, sport, etc.) would greatly increase my use of the videos.  Right now, I'm not really using them, and this is THE reason.

What is the point of providing a whole range of content if it’s not searchable? If you can’t find suitable content, it may as well not be there. This is such a waste of a resource.

I've found it so frustrating I've purchased Les Mills subscription and when my free trial ends, it's hard to find reasons why to keep it.

It's a shame as there's so much good content, but when looking takes longer than the meditation or workout like others above have said, and that Fitbit is owned by Google the best search engine I find this really odd that such an important feature is missing.

If Fitbit want us to keep paying a monthly sub, you need to make it useable as you nailed the useful bit

Came here because I couldn't believe that there was no search box. I need to search by activity, not body part.

Yes!! For comment #27, please develop and add a search function, should absolutely be a standard feature! I love the workouts on premium and currently have a 1 year subscription, i possibly like it seems like many other people may not renew due to this feature being missing. Please add a search function for the premium users for premium workouts! Thank you!

I just discovered there is no way to search for a Trainer you like.

It is crazy there is no search box. You are owned by Google they can fix this in seconds. Please make this a priority.

A Google product without search. That will make a funny meme

The previous comments sum it up. It is a total waste of time having to search thru all these videos that I pay Premium to use without a robust search feature. The different body areas that can be used to narrow down choices does not yield  sufficiently useable help. I always end up running multiple videos to review them. This should be a priority ask if Fitbit wants to keep Premium customers.

Hi @suelv, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having a search function to look for specific Premium workouts on the Fitbit app with us. There should be a way to search your workouts in Premium, like a search bar.

PLEASE make a search bar! It's pretty silly that there isn't one. Seems like this should be standard. It's so difficult to try and find what I'm looking for, and often I give up and resort to YouTube, which is disheartening when I have a premium membership.

It is silly that Fitbit still can’t add a simple search bar instead it uses its own label to force us to scroll through their various workouts….

Completely agree

More than a year past and nothing happened. Fitbit, it should not be too difficult to make search option.
