Adding my vote to please bring back the journal feature. Like others have mentioned, I need to be able to track the effects my food intake is having on my health (e.g. to see if I'm developing a food allergy). I am a faithful fitbit user and a premium member, and was so disappointed to learn that the journal feature (including the link) had been removed. Please consider bringing it back. Thanks!
Uhg, Fitbit is avoiding the question because of some marketing agreement and they won't tell us honestly. Fitbit... be honest with those who have supported, bought into your ecosystem. Enough users have asked! Answer the question of your not going to give us back what had. I've been a Fitbit user since 2012. You know we have many options.
I really would like to be able to access and continue to use the BP functionality of the website. This was an important tool which I now must gather and save in another program/spreadsheet. One of the things I liked about fitbit was there was a location to keep this data and other relevant health data. Seems the benefits of the web site are dwindling.
Well I think we are beating a dead horse here. I know there's a reason for it and fit bit does not want to talk about it yet. My guess is maybe they are working on a partnership, or even a merger that will be cause a duplication of this function. I just bought a Bluetooth Omron cuff monitor. It syncs flawlessly and the options for printing or sending the file are top notch. While I'm on it, stay away from wrist cuff monitors. Even my Omron unit was very inaccurate. My doc said they are bad. My new Omron arm cuff has been very consistent and accurate and easy to use. Check amazon.
Would love to have the BP data back. Used to be able to enter and view the data, but no longer have access. Currently use a Myhealthevet blood pressure reader and scale. I would love to be able to sync the data from both of those directly into the app.
I concur. I am forced to use other programs to record this information. I miss having it all in one program. Also I am a member of a heart study group that has access to my fitbit data. They no longer get the heart relavent data to use in their study.
It sounds like you had the functionality to track blood glucose / sugar readings in you Fitbit application 6 months ago but have pulled that from the dashboard. Please add this functionality back and include the ability to log as many readings a person may take per day including before or after meals, before or after snacks and include a comments section for each logged reading. Also graphing this data would make it incredibly easy along with Fitbits other tracking categories to work incredibly efficiently with our doctors. With 29 million people in the US (CDC) and 371 million people worlwide (CBSNews) with diabetes, it is disturbing that you removed this functionality. This added functionality would be a huge win-win for both Fitbit and the Fitbit User Community!
I consider myself a "Quantified Self" power user with a PhD in molecular medicine. My highest priority need with all my QS gadgets is a complex journaling feature that allows me to detect patterns and correlations between life events, sleep, sport performance, food, meditation, medication, alcohol, mood, energy levels, heart rate and blood pressure, blood sugar and other clinical chemistry data, allergy, etc. I want to annotate heart rate peaks, track my mood, track my sport performance under different conditions, etc.
Fibit is one of my foundational partners on my QS journey but discontinuing a Journaling feature (which was not even complex enough) is an absolute deal breaker for me and shows me a serious misunderstanding of the market trends. The recorded data becomes completely useless in a week if I cannot annotate or tag it because I forget the circumstances.
What happen to the blood pressure log that use to be on your web site I wish you bring it back I find it very useful to log my blood pressure and to have it to show my doctor
it would be nice to be able to have a tile on the dashboard to be able to set a sugar or fat target and then try to hit (stay below) your goal each day. I have primium so i can go in the journal and see my sugar intake but it would be better to have a tile since i mainly use my phone
Please consider adding the functionality back. I realize that I am among a small percentage of your users and that my personal needs are lost in the masses, none the less I am praying that you understand the importance of having the functionality restored to myself and other type 1 diabetics (I am what is labeled a brittle diabetic). We are tasked with self monitoring our health, everything I do has an effect on my blood sugars. In order to manage our sugars we need to be able to see the correlation between the food we eat and our glucose readings, see the correlation between our exercise and its effects (duration and intensity) have on our glucose readings. This is how we adjust the amount of insulin required at each injection (or the basil rate if using a pump). The Fitbit (when coupled with one of many apps.) already captures a large portion of the information required and adding in the glucose tracking would greatly impact "our" ability to maintain a more normal/healthy life style.
I would also LOVE to see this - especially since I think my weight progress thus far has been directly tied to decreasing my daily sugar allowance. I've become increasingly sensitive to hidden sugar in foods and would love to have a daily tally I can refer to before I hit the cafe at work.
I need to monitor my BP, I bought the Fitbit because it would like me do many things...and I used to record Blood Pressure...the other day my doctor made it manditory for me...and I thought about using that feature on my fitbit page....sad that people at fit bit aren't aware how this silent killer is the cause of my other illnesses.
It would be nice to be able to access the blood pressure info on the app. Ideally I would be able to enter the info into the app, but at a minimum I would like to see the data on the app since I use that daily and only get online a couple of times a month.
Request blood sugar and blood pressure recording feature on dashboard. I paid for premium but apparently they are gone. Using the Samsung app for these features and Fitbit doesn't talk with S Health. Fragmentation is annoying.
Great idea.... Please forward this idea to the developers. This will only enhance the Fitbit Dashboard. It will make it less likely for people to switch to none fitbit devices.
Please consider adding the blood pressure monitoring in dashboard back. I don't want to have to purchase another gadget to monitor blood pressure, glucose.
My husband is a diabetic and exercise will oftentimes put him into a very low blood sugar level. This would help us to curtail his exercise before he starts to drop to low. Any chance we will be seeing this feature in the near future?
Regular Fitbit bands probably would not be able to accommodate a blood pressure or blood sugar monitoring option but if Fitbit released a product specially for blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring that would be very helpful and would allow you to really get a good idea of your health.
In the past the Fitbit app dashboard would allow entering tour readings so one could keep track. Fitbit has removed this functionality. I am just requesting the consider adding it back into the dashboard.
