Really would like this feature. Please listen to your users. It has nothing to do with FitBit being a medical app. We just want a place to record BP as we could in the past. The device doesn't weigh us but we have a place to manually record weight. This request keeps getting DECLINED and then it re-surfaces as as request. Being able to record notes is also a feature that was taken away...
I see that you have declined many requests for this feature, so here's your chance to decline mine. The data tracing features of the Fitbit software are helping me to be more active. Seeing improvements in the data is very motivating for me. The point of my becoming more active is to lower my blood pressure. I'd like to track my blood pressure, but I have no intention of doing this in additonal app. You don't have to have it on the Dashboard, but put it in a sub-menu somewhere. Please don't tell me about trade-offs and how you don't have the budget to do this I have worked in software developent for many years, and I know that this would be easy to add.
I will be looking for another fitness tracking product whose software provides the opportunity to log blood pressure.
To Fitbit App Developers: Please bring back BP readings as it is very important for people with hypertension. For us loyal Fitbit users, we rely on your app to enter daily information, not just information gathered from our activity trackers. I purchased an Aria and love the weigh intergration to help with goals. Entering BP information daily will help link it to wieght loss and activity!
Sharing information from Fitbit to other apps are avaialble, but why should I have to record my information in 5 different places!
Well back in April 2015 the moderator for this Idea was sending it on to the developers. It hasn't happened in over a year. Would be nice to know if it was scratched and, if so, why.
I'm not holding my breath that it's coming anytime soon if at all.
I think we should all keep posting and encouraging Fitbit to modify the app. It would make life so much easier by providing a central location for all of the data.
I have come back to fitbit after buying a Surge. I did use a One and after a period of inactivity, wanted to upgrade. I used to be able to add my own, "custom," trackers. I found this very useful for blood pressure and blood glucose levels, as well as other things that I wanted to track. I am disappointed that this feature is no longer available. As a diabetic with hypertension, being able to track these items allowed me to print a report when I was going to see my doctor. It also allowed me to identify trends and issues that could come up with new behaviors or old habits.
I have noted that there have been some similar requests, but all have been archived and there does not appear to be any recent posts. Hence, this post. Please, please, please give us back this very useful feature. Even if only in a limited version; say, two or three custom trackers.
Well, I've only been asking for this to occur many time over the last couple of years without even a response. But, I keep trying and appreciate you joining the crusade.
The problem is...IT was there...they removed it. having it there cost them what exactly...a few million bits... And when you consider that not everyone logs everything..why not give custmers WHAT THEY WANT!
Thanks. At least I'm not alone. You'd think they'd be happy that we want to keep all of our information within Fitbit. Believe me as soon as I find somewhere else to keep it I will.
I am so glad to see many Fitbit users continue to want this to be a part of the Fitbit software. I can tell you've reviewed all the comments over the last couple years. It is very frustrating with little substantive reply from Fitbit on this issue.
I would also like to be able to log blood sugar and BP. As a Type 2 diabetic my diabetic nurse is keen that I keep her informed of both these readings. At the moment I fall back on the Samsung sHealth app to track blood sugar and it is a pain to maintain two repositories for my health data.
I have read the information in the "declined" justification link and cannot really understand the justification for removing the ability to track these values from the Premium version. As an ex-developer I cannot believe that the development and support overheads for these options are significant, especially as they are talking about giving Premium users their money back as a result.
Perhaps there should be a seperate Premium option for users that just want the option to log and track these two values. I for one, am not interested in any of the other Premium features. It may transpire that those users are enough to justify the effort.
Please add the ability to track blood pressure readings online and in the app as this would eliminate having to juggle multiple apps for your users! This IS valuable to have and would be very much appreciated!
