I was using the BP log on the dashboard as I am hypertensive - very important!! but today tried it and I no longer have access... where are all the stats I logged?? Really this is very annoying. Why would fitbit do this? Seems pointless. BP is massively important to many people wanting to track their health and fitness. Very cross.
I agree that fitbit should bring back the BP tracking. It was one of the most useful features for me. I haven't seen an explanation from fitbit regarding why they removed this feature. I'd also like to know if I can still access my old BP log.
I found it is easiest to access the regular Fitbit site then open the other two in another window (for Windows users) to enter the remaining information. This is easier, otherwise you wind up having to sign in for each.
@TomFromTexas Fitbit has deprecated those pages, and they will likely be going away completely any day now, so I'm not sure I would recommend continuing to use them, even if you can currently get to them.
@rexie You can read about the removal of those pages in this thread. You should still be able to use the export function to get your logged data out. (BP is in the "body" section and you can only export one month at a time.)
Please add the BP, Blood Sugar and Journey tabs back to the dash board. I am a premuim user and I would be willing to pay the premium cost for these tabs, I only use the trainer portions of the premium so I was thinking about not purchasing this function next year. Due to some health issues, not realated to being overweight. I am at my goal weight, I wanted the ablity to see how my body reacted to the food I ate, also logging in BP and Blood Sugar amounts. Please consider addinng them back, I know I would be willing to customize my premium dashboard.
Yes! I agree, please add a place to add BP readings. I have pulmonary arterial hypertension and I use the fitbit to help keep track of my heart rate but currently have to use a seperate app to keep track of my HR. It would be great if I could keep it all in one app. Thanks!
I am a new fitbit charge hr user and searching for BP logging possibilities I saw that you just removed the https://www.fitbit.com/bp site. In google cache I could see how the functionality looked like.
I've been thinking about it, why Fitbit removed the blood pressure log when it is clearly a popular feature.
My best guess is that Fitbit really wants to sell premium memberships which include coaching and log review, and there's a lawyery squeamishness about reviewing someone's logs if they are logging high blood pressures. If a premium member records a blood pressure of 220/130 is Fitbit responsible for contacting the member to tell them to go to an emergency room? Can Fitbit be held responsible for not contacting such a premium member if the member records out of control blood pressure and then has a stroke?
It's either some silly reason like that, or because Fitbit doesn't sell the Aria blood pressure cuff yet.
Thanks David for your comments and I suspect you are onto something.
So dear gods of Fitbit (or more likely the unpaid intern for product development), if you are lawyering up then please consider having some user defined fields. If I happen to include blood pressure then you don't need to warn me because how would you know. If you are hoping for the upsell to the premium then be verrrrrry careful because there are others who will always be willing to scope the market for a lower price.
It was bought as a present. For the cost having another level membership that offers thus small but useful feature? Will be checking out what competitor might offer it when this dies.
I am just surprised not one Fitbit comment with this level of noise.
The Blood pressure option has dissapered from the website /dashboard... miss that. It was something I used to track my BP so I could stay off BP controling meds... Be nice if they brought it back.
Since one of the reasons for having my Surge is to track my heart rate and since I bought it, I was also able to track my BP and export this for a report to my MD. I have to wonder how many others also miss this feature and there is no excuse for removing it, other than the ones responsible for this do not have high blood pressure and do not realize the importance of this data,
I think a section for tracking your blood pressure should be add to all Apps. From what I'very read in the posts it was in the Apps at one time, it should be brought back.
