See previous days' data across all tiles in mobile app

I like the layout of the new IOS app.  I wish that when I switch days to look at previous days' data that I could have ALL the tiles still change to the previous day's information.  Right now with the updated app only the daily goals change to the previous day's data and the calories in and calories out stay with today's current information.  This is not helpful to me if I am trying to quickly see how I did yesterday which I definitely do sometimes.

I like the new dashboard but will not use it unless all the data changes when you go back in time. All the data changes except sleep, which it does on the old dashboard. Because this is an important piece of data to me, it renders the new tile dashboard essentially useless - pretty, but useless.

Please change all the data when one scrolls through the prior days.

Thank you.

I agree with all of the comments, Fitbit you need to change this. It doesn't make sense to keep the most up to date information on the screen when you're looking at a different day!

I agree with everyone here. I liked being able to quickly "tap" through my past days to compare my sleep times and other stats. Now, I must tap on the individual tiles of the new dashboard one-by-one. It is no longer use friendly or intuitive.

I thought this was a bug too! Dreadful decision and totally incomprehensible. Please at least make the stats change for all tiles even if you end up forcing the awful new dashboard on us...

I always would get up in the morning and click back to the previous day to see the end results, calories burned while sleeping, final steps for the day etc.  I can't figure out how to do this now and it appears you can't?

Agree that the new app layout is fantastic, and yes being able to scroll through all the days actyivities on all of the cards would be very helpful.

I have been forced to use the old Dashboard but I love the new except for this issue. I also use a companion 3rd party app that works correctly but I'd much rather stick with Fitbit. Please fixer up so we can see the previous days steps, sleep etc without doing a workaround. Cheers.

What everyone else is saying! Love the look. Want to be able to see the previous day's stats when I click back it worked this way on the previous version, so not sure why it needed to change.

Agree with everyone here. It seems like a (relatively) easy fix, and I'm not sure why Fitbit hasn't responded to it yet, as the old dashboard is no longer an option.

I can't believe we need to submit a feature request for this! When a user scrolls back to a previous date in time they are doing so because they want to see information about that date. Why on earth would you show me today's sleep stats when I specifically scrolled back to last Thursday? I want to see what happened on that date! On all tiles. Not just a select few. In order to see all stats from a previous day we now have to scroll back to that day, take note of the 5 of so tiles that properly show that day's info, and then click on each of the other tiles separately and scroll back on them. It's a mess. A horrible, silly, unfriendly design decision

Is there an update or explanation from Fitbit on this change in the dashboard?

I agree! It is very frustrating and completely illogical to not have the stats for a particular day on the dashboard for that day. Why would I want to see today's calories or water on yesterday's or any other dashboard tile other than today's? The web based site shows information relevant to the day being displayed. Come on Fitbit. Sort out your new dashboard in the app.

For me this change is very upsetting because monitoring my intake against the calories left or when I went over plus with the calories burned that day next to it is why I bought and use a Fitbit. I should not have to do math and click different tiles or monitor the web dashboard/pull it up in doctor's appointments to learn this. I used the old dashboard until the update forced one to use the new one. Using other apps that sync do not work properly. I might have to buy a different tracker if this doesn't change.

It's disheartening to see that after forcing the new dashboard on everyone, FitBit STILL doesn't care to fix this GLARING BUG that some egomaniac on their dev team thinks is GOOD DESIGN. If it was good design, why would even your web site not function this way? Huh?

I 100% agree with these comments.  This feature is AWFUL on the new app.  Why would you not want to see all data when you go backwards a day or more?  Fitbit Developers - PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP and make your users happy campers!!!!!!!!!!

Please make the dashboard more effective by updating all stats daily, such as sleep, water intake...As it stands, these tiles only update when you click to open that particular menu. However, these stats don't reflect the dates when the back arrow is selected to view previous dates. Hope this makes sense. Please contact me if additional info is required.

Thanks

I delayed updating my app for over a month in hopes that this issue would be fixed with an update to the new dashboard. I updated last night and alas, it still sucks. I don't understand the logic behind deliberately scrolling to a previous day and part of the data showing still reflects that current day's data instead of the one you purposely scrolled to! How this is a deliberate design feature blows my mind. It looks like if you log in via the web, this is not the case and all the tiles change with the scrolled to date. I really hope Fitbit listens soon and realizes their illogical "design feature" is terrible. Until then, I will just use my app to sync and then log on via the web. That is, until I get fed up enough with this hassle and start looking at new tracker devices that are NOT Fitbit. If money weren't an issue, I would have already switched to something else considering my Alta consistently shorts me steps and active minutes - but that's a complaint for another thread.

I am in agreement - the ios app should show previous days data for each day on the main dashboard - this change is annoying.  please change it back.

Why is this a feature request?

IT IS A BUG.

If Fitbit doesn't consider this a bug, it is a DESIGN FLAW.

Only an idiot would design this or code it.  That means multiple idiots at Fitbit think this was a good idea.

Mostly people think this is a bug.  If the users think it is a bug, then that is what it is, even if someone thought it would be a good idea...

I want to jump in on the design flaws of this dashboard - it doesn't fulfil the main purpose of a dashboard, being able to quickly see a summary of information.

When I open the app, I typically want to check if I'm synced (to know if to trust the data), then my step data, then my hourly activity for the day.  In the old dashboard, I could see all of these at a glance.  In the new, I have to click into the device to check sync status, go back, read my steps, and then scroll down to check activity.

This is a classic case of someone's idea of "form" triumphing over functionality, and definitely bad design.

Please bring back the old dashboard. We are no longer able to see previous days activity and logs, and current logs are being deleted. My tiles should not say "zero" after submitting an entry. This defeats the purpose of being able to quickly check and compare our stats.

I totally agree with the comments about having all of the tiles reflect the day you are viewing  it is not as helpful to have to scroll back to a past day but open the sleep tile separately.  I hope this is something in the works to be fixed

Thank you.
