See previous days' data across all tiles in mobile app

I like the layout of the new IOS app.  I wish that when I switch days to look at previous days' data that I could have ALL the tiles still change to the previous day's information.  Right now with the updated app only the daily goals change to the previous day's data and the calories in and calories out stay with today's current information.  This is not helpful to me if I am trying to quickly see how I did yesterday which I definitely do sometimes.

The so called “new feature” is a complete step backwards. I spent SO LONG wasting my time contacting Fitbit support asking them to fix this bug, why? Because they didn’t inform us of this change. Bring the old dash back please. The new one is a serious inconvenience.

Been there....done that....   after almost  a year of having said the same thing, reading “endless” comments of people requesting the very same thing, and having virtually no response from Fitbit, I no longer have any confidence that they are listening.

Like others I reported this software bug long ago and have read hundreds of replies since then.

I am not a user of Facebook but would guess that if anyone on this email thread is and chooses to share it in more public way where a broader user base or prospective user base can see the lack of their responsiveness and a poor user experience in the user interface that might get their attention - just a thought.

I am disappointed that you cannot see info on tiles when swiping to previous days. Also the sleep mode now doesn’t show or count if you have had a sleep in middle of the day. It used to show it as 2 different times when you. It doesn’t count it at all

@Caspersheba was your middle of the day sleep at least an hour?

I just started to try to use count my calories and was totally confused as to why this part was broken. I emailed Fitbit and they said it was a feature.... I this is a bug.

Just think about it... it is a dashboard it should have correct information displayed. Once I change days now only 1/2 of the information that is shown on my dash board is correct. Why would I want to see today's info if I clicked on yesterdays dashboard?

As well the dashboard says a specific day at the top but it has data displayed that is from a different day with out stating that there are two different days being displayed.... This is really poor design. It almost makes the dashboard unusable.  It makes the App look low class or that the developers didn't real do any testing on it like it is a cheap Chinese made app.

It’s 2018 Andy you’re still just considering?  Please update before I migrate!!!

I could not agree more! We have been complaining for many months now and they finally decided to think about it:) it is ridiculous...

This is not a "feature" it's deliberate and makes sense only in the eyes of Fitbit. It used to change with the viewed day and there is no reason why it can't be that way or at least make it user configurable. There are a few daily tiles I never use and it would be helpful to drag them down below and have the ability to drag the useful tiles up top and have them change with day being viewed. It used to be this way and IMHO it's a large step backwards doing it like we see today. While you're at it, how about integrating with Apple Health ...

I absolutely agree! It doesn’t look like anyone has commented about it in awhile, but it is still a feature that should be considered. All of the comments above pretty well reflect the reasons why I think the tile feature should be adjusted. It seems like something that could pretty easily be integrated because it is already tracked for the present day.

This issue has been explained in so many ways in the try-outs of numbers of users. In time, this has even evolved into some sort of art form for its creativity in finding so many new ways to describe what is being obvious. Yet, it could not be seen by Fitbit. It is surreal...

Songul - very much agreed.  This has been a very exhausting experience to have (1) spent time reporting the issue in depth just to be referred to this forum and (2) for ar least a year now received hundreds of comments on this thread stating the same thing - over and over.   It’s incredible at the lack of response to this request.

When scrolling through days, my calories taken in doesn’t change when I look at previous days,  it only show most current day’s calories.  All data showing on the dashboard should change to match the actual from the day being looked at.

I don’t like the new format; today’s totals are showing on yesterday’s when I click back. What I slept today is not what I slept yesterday etc and that’s not what I should see when glance back. It didn’t start this until this week. Figures not adding right: no water one day but when I look back, I had 72 ounces. Please get this together. You’ve been in business too long to have these glitches.

Seriously? You think this design flaw only started last week?
No, it's been there since the "tile version" of the app was added almost 2 years ago.
Fitbit has been COMPLETELY ignoring hundreds (if not thousands by now) of user posts complaining about it.

Well, I won my Fitbit just a few weeks ago so still just learning but this has been frustrating.

Allow app to update the other tiles like sleep and movement during cycling through the previous days.   Currently the only way to see previous data is to click the tile

100% agree that the previous day's view should display the previous day's information. The use case is weird too.  On my app, I have sleep and resting heart rate under the steps/floors/cals/minutes summary - what kind of value am I getting out of seeing my last night's sleep under the activity of three days before?  The only useful correlation is to see sleep / resting heart / and exercise summary together.

As a fitbit advocate and evangelist with something like 23 million steps with you guys, I'm actually feeling a little manipulated.  For about a week and a half on twitter, I was told several times that it was being fixed, then I was told it was a feature - and a bizarre one at that.  Please go back to day views showing the information for the day.  I hate to be that guy, but I'm not buying it.

I agree that all data generated should should be reported on the day that it was achieved not as has been changed. It makes no sense that some of the data tiles report current day and other report historical data when paging back through past dates.

Please Fitbit, provide a revised report that offers a complete review of any specific days data to include sleep and activity for that date.

I don't know how we vote for this feature, like the moderator says...But this REALLY needs to be fixed by Fitbit. This inability to see ALL the information for previous days, isn't helpful at all.

I’m going to be voting with my wallet! My wife’s Alta HR battery is dying and my Blaze is also deteriorating. The confusing dashboard along with the non-integration with Apple health means I’ll be moving to another manufacturer and leaving the Fitbit world sooner or later. The Apple Health integration doesn’t bother me near as much as the crippled dashboard.

I think we should come to the realization that this is not going to change. I don't know why, because no one at FitBit will explain. When FitBit was still in fairly early days, the data was shown in a list and all the data was linked by day. You could still choose what you wanted to see, but it changed together. It wasn't a "pretty" dashboard, it was a utilitarian dashboard, and some of us were very happy with that. In early to mid 2016 (I think) FitBit migrated to the tile version you see now. The graphics were more cutesy (in my opinion), and the use was less utilitarian. Some of us hung on to the old dashboard as long as possible, but were eventually forced into the change. Since that time, not a month goes by that someone doesn't complain about how the data is not all linked by day. If the programmers and systems analysts have not gotten the message and have not made the change(s) by now, it is doubtful they ever will. I can only assume that they felt that as newer users who never saw the old version came on board, they would become used to the new version with no expectations. I'm rather satisfied to see that it isn't the case. Probably the only recourse, at this point, is to change to another technology when your current product fails.

Lastly, if there is some substantive reason that this cannot be accomplished, someone should clearly explain what it is.

kipbot

Cindy_R might be right.  I have been consistently enthusiastic about/evangelical about the fitbit, but I'm feeling jerked around.  Cindy_R's point about a "substantive reason" is right.  I was told it was a flaw that was being fixed for about three days on Twitter, then I was told it was by design for reasons that make little sense - sending up my Spidey sense that this is bug being called a feature.

I hate to abandon Fitbit, especially since I have over 20 million steps, but seeing how long this has been going on and how weak the explanations have been . . . Man, this is a bummer.

I really believe the first week or so it did what it was supposed to do but I thought I was doing something wrong. I am a new user and thought maybe I had got it wet or something. I even bought the scale.
