See previous days' data across all tiles in mobile app

I like the layout of the new IOS app.  I wish that when I switch days to look at previous days' data that I could have ALL the tiles still change to the previous day's information.  Right now with the updated app only the daily goals change to the previous day's data and the calories in and calories out stay with today's current information.  This is not helpful to me if I am trying to quickly see how I did yesterday which I definitely do sometimes.

I am searching for a different swcale and tracker as well; I need something that will give me a snapshot of ALL my data on a daily basis and that  will allow me to scroll back.  This is horribly awkward and inconvenient now.  I'll let you know when I find a different product(s) and better app.

Thanks to fitbit support who helpfully pointed me here to "vote" on having them "fix" their IOS FitBit application. Everyone here should realize that FitBit has a limited number of technically proficient people working there, and if they allocate resources to fixing an application (which already worked at one point, so the code can be stolen and refactored for the new application) then they will not be able to use those resources to design yet another USB connector, different from all previous ones for their next FitBit product. And we would not want that to happen, would we? So we need to chill out, it hasn't been quite a year since they broke the previous version of the application. Many thanks to them for replacing the defective FitBit Charge HR which failed twice while still under warranty. (First time, stopped accepting charge, second time the plastic which hold USB cord to FitBit while charging fell off.)

Fitbit told me to pound sand when my charge HR came apart 1 month past warranty expiry. It's a known issue but they wouldn't assist. I'm still in the Fitbit family but waiting a year to fix a serious design flaw is a wee bit excessive IMHO. I'm on several software beta teams and this crap would have never got by our team.

Please excuse any typos.

What do you mean "came apart"?
If you mean the main body started separating from the band, that's a common problem to the design flaw in the Charge HR.

Thankfully, there's a solution now, the Fitbit Charge 2 which completely changed the fragile design of the band in the original HR. The bands are replaceable too, not permanently soldered weakly, and seem to fit much nicer than before.

TheRealSTB: Bogusoft probably had the same problem I had with my Fitbit Charge HR. The plastic piece that fits around the back of the Fitbit body came off. When I pulled the charger cord out one day the plastic stayed on the USB cable. I was able to get it to stay on for a few days, then I used rubber bands to hold it together when charging, but eventually that became very tiresome so I called Fitbit. Without that piece of plastic the charger cable will not stay plugged into the Fitbit and no charging will occur.

I'm going to use Lose It as my health app and import the info from my Fitbit.  Of course I wasn't logging food on Fitbit, but this is a very easy program to use.  Sorry Fitbit.  Lost my business on this issue. Man Indifferent

I'm totally surprised that Fitbit has not addressed this issue! With all the posts regarding this matter, I'd think they would realize how important this fix is to customers! At least give us the option of using the old dashboard that was completely removed. I'm a longtime Fitbit fan that will soon be moving on as well. Ridiculous!

I agree! What use are the tiles then if they don't reflect what you did on that day! I like to go back and review my week, compare and make mental notes but this new functionality isn't helpful at all!

I want to add my support to this.  PLEASE change this feature so that the dashboard of previous days is an accurate reflection of that day. It makes zero sense and is very frustrating.  Why would I scroll back to previous days just to be shown today's data?? I love the Fitbit and the app.  It's made a big difference to my weight and fitness, and this 'design' is the only one that is not intuitive.  It reflects poorly on you Fitbit, because it just looks like a glaring mistake!

WHY are the developers not responding to this overwhelming consensus? It seems like a very easy fix...

I totally agree!!  I bought my tracker specifically to track my fitness goals and to log my horrible sleep pattern.  Would really like to view all stat tiles from previous days when I locate to those days.  I really enjoy the Alta and its features, but please fix this issue.

I agree that we need the dashboard to display stats for the same day.

I completely agree.  Really would like to see all tiles contain information on the day displayed at the top.  Makes for a quick review/reminder of previous days compared with today.  And the comment about checking just after midnight - right on - happens a lot.  Guess I should be getting to sleep sooner, but hey.....

Thanks!

What is the point of seeing today's results while checking old days???

 I really don't undertstand it!

It is obvious they aren't going to make this fix. My tracker is getting a little old so I am going to replace it with one that has a functional app.

I agree - before the update, you could scroll through all the days' tiles and see each day's data - steps, sleep, etc. Why can you only see the steps for that each now, and the hours and minutes of sleep are the same each day? This is a huge flaw and the worst part is they actually had it right before and seem to have back tracked in their progress. My fitbit is getting older, I will look at other brands to see what else is out there.

Yes, please fix this so that each day's page reflects the information for that day. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

I 100% AGREE! I even contacted support because I thought there was something wrong with my dashboard. Why would I want to see today's info on previous days? It makes no sense. Please fix this Fitbit!!!!

I agree with everyone else.  The first thing I do each morning was to sync to see how I sleep during the night.  Please consider on behalf of all of us to put it back the old way or give us the option to choose.

Definitely agree! If I'm looking back at previous days I don't want to see any of the current days info. I want a quick snapshot of that day.

I honestly thought it was a bug with the new update but I guess not.

Really don't like it. I was already considering changing apps/trackers so now that it seems FitBit have changed the dashboard UI again to something useless I may as well go find an app that actually shows me each day as is.

my FitBit is second hand so I'm not losing out on anything really.

And doing a post like this does nothing. So many people I know with FitBit's don't even use the forums at all. There should be a poll of some sort at least rather than having to register and then comment on a forum post.

I agree with the original poster.  The app's utility would be greatly enhanced if swiping to a previous day got you to ALL of that day's information.  Seems like it should be an easy fix.  Don't understand why it hasn't been done.  No wonder the company's stock is headed in the direction it is....

I sooooo strongly agree with everyone else here!  It is not only confusing and majorly irritating to not see all the info for a particular day on the screen, it's actually unbelievable that anyone would do that intentionally!  As you can see, it seems everyone wants to see all the info for one day on the screen for that day! And like someone else said, with this much feedback on this, it should be made a priority and viewed as a bug fix rather than a mere suggestion.

I agree, they need to reinstate the old information on previous days as that is a snapshot of the entire day!!  I don't want to have to scroll through every tile to look at a particular day.  Please fix.

Seems bonkers that it was removed. The dashboard should show all the daily information - no idea why someone would think to limit this functionality in the name of progress.

please update the app to enable the changes suggested here. It's my biggest bugbear with my Fitbit! 🙁

Like many here, I prefer to look back at the previous days tiles and have them showing what I actually did/ate/slept rather than be updated to what is going on today.

Please reconsider and switch back.

Many Thanks
