Shortcut to disable notifications (Do not disturb)

One shortcut is not used at this time, the long press on bottom right button.

We can use it to add a shortcut like "Do not disturb", and use it again to disable the mode.

It also possible to think about a list of actions and set it to this action. (Ex : Do not disturb, Launch installed app etc...)

Definitely miss the DND from Pebble days.  My son's first question was "Does your new watch have the mousey?"  Sadly, I had to say "no."

Would love to see DND on FitOS with the following features:

  • able to set start and end time
  • able to manually enable with the long press on bottom right button
  • would disable notifications
  • would disable quick view
  • would disable activity notifications
  • would still allow alarms

Need a quick way to make the Versa go to 'do not disturb mode' i.e. no sounds, no vibrations - nothing. I can also suggest more modes, similar to Apple Watch like 'movie mode' where the screen doesn't wake unless you tap it.

activation/deactivation should be quick access, for example press of a button or swipe from home screen and then click a button

Issue:

When in exercise mode, specifically running, notifications still popup. A popup prevents use of Versa's buttons, effectively preventing PAUSE/RESUME on the timer. Popups resolve after 60 seconds, but during this time, timer functionality is disabled. A stream of texts effectively prevents timer use.

Suggestion:

Under each exercise mode, allow for a toggle to disable notifications. This should be under each exercise mode because one may still want to allow for notifications in another exercise mode such as weight lifting.

I would love to be able to set do not disturb hours on my Fitbit, so I do not recieve texts while sleeping or while at work, without having to manually do it.

I do not use the DND feature on my iPhone, because the text alarm doesn’t wake me up, and then if anyone calls me for an emergency, I can still be reached. I just want my wrist to stop vibrating without having to do so much work or compromise my regular phone availability.

Also if the screen wouldn’t turn on during the do not disturb mode, that would be great. If I move my arm while I’m trying to fall asleep sometimes it lights up in my face.

I also miss the granularity from the Pebble do not disturb.  Being on call most of the year, I used to be able to mute all notifications except calls.  This is not available currently on the Fitbit Versa 2 and I really miss it.  I am currently residing to the phones granular DND functionality and allowing it to wake me up on calls at night but this wakes my wife as well.  Please add this feature into the firmware.  It shouldn't take too much as you already own the intellectual property of the Pebble which already did it.
