While I was living in the US, I was using calories, because that's what they mark on food so it made sense. Now that I've come back home to Australia, everything is in Kilojoules.
I switched the app to Kilojoules, but I use the "stats heavy" clockface on my Charge 4 and it won't convert to Kilojoules, as well as the online dashboard not allowing the change.
Dear America, you're the only ones that use Calories as an official energy measurement any more. Even if you aren't going to change, you're killing your "outside the US" market.
Hi @Kilojouleguy, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about having the option to see 'Kilojoules burned' on your Fitbit device. I've moved it into a similar request. It's now 2023, I am a new user, I bought an Inspire 2 at the beginning of 2023, and am absolutely baffled that kilojoules is not an option on the device. I bought the device outside of the US, so I expected it would have the ability to work in all metric units. I'm really surprised that it does not show kilojoules on the device, even more surprised that people have been requesting this basic functionality for over 2 years.
This is definitely something that should be a feature out of the box, it's a bit poor to exclude a unit of measurement that is standardised in many parts of the world. Most of the time cal is not listed on a packet so I'm unable to quickly look at my Fitbit and decide if I've earned that chocolate or not while standing at the fridge
The fitbit cannot show energy in KJ. FOr some reason it can in the app, but not on the device? The fitbit should show energy in KJ instead of calories, as an option.
Hi @JaeMar, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about displaying the energy in kilojoules on your Fitbit device with us. I noticed a similar idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestion board, so I’ve moved your post here. Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
Baffling - and I mean really baffling - that the Dashboard cannot accommodate kilojoules. Dumbfounded to discover it cannot be done after adjusting to display on the FitBit itself.
