Show exercise duration in HH:MM:SS on Fitbit app

Logged a run from the Charge 6, Web dashboard shows Duration as 25:15. App shows the duration as 25! On the previous app, I was able to see the run duration in hours, minutes and seconds. Having the seconds missing makes the app view of the data much less useful - bring back the seconds please.

Well I started running again after a break and found a vital pice of information missing. (SECONDS). IMO a stupid mistake as races are won in 100ths of a second not minutes.

At least until July you could see the MM:SS on the web dashboard,  but now the web dashboard is totally gone too 😞 😞

This is completely hopeless.

This can't be a hard thing to fix in the app ???

Can only endorse everything said on here.  I have a Versa 4 having had Fitbit for many years, and this feature (plus a number of others) has actually taken the device backwards.  Who wants a fitness tracker that doesn’t give you accurate data on your workout…ridiculous!  It seems that the primary function has been dumbed down.  Unless it is changed in the next version of the app I will certainly be moving to a different make of device.

Try strava. I just googled it and that works with Fitbit’s. Will save you some money.

It’s such an easy fix. Why is it taking so long?

It's almost a year now that we haven't been able to find seconds on the exercise reports on the App. Why don't Google come clean and explain this situation? I'm getting a bit fed up with waiting for a reply to this problem with the app. I'm also waiting for lap times (duration) to appear on the report again.

Tap on the big shoe (steps) at the top of the iOS app and you can see your daily average by month for the current year and previous years by using the directional arrows. In very small print you also have the year's total steps to date. It seems, according to another post about the issue, that Google's best answer is to get a calculator and add up the previous data to get your lifetime numbers.

The fact that this is something that even has to be voted for is ridiculous 😂😂😂 it's about to be a whole year since it has been "reviewed by moderator" and we still can't get such a simple feature which a smartwatch 10x cheaper could do. I am so close to getting rid of my fitbit and getting a watch that can actually take fitness somewhat seriously.

I'm training on a track for 400 metres and when I break the minute mark my time is 0. In fact the world record is 0 according to Google.

The app doesn't round up or down it just drops seconds. (8:59 = 8 min. and 8:01 = 8 min.) Anything less than 1 is 0.

Poor isn’t it! I actually just wrote to the CEO of Fitbit asking what they were playing at. Don’t expect a reply!

Good for you! I hope it lights a fire.

Sorry @vee but your workaround doesn't work for me. It only goes around the block and comes back to the Exercise days as it was previously displayed.

I'm looking for the seconds the exercise took not just dropping the seconds and reporting the minutes duration.

That workaround was posted months ago and didn't work for long. I am still hanging on to my Fitbit by a thread but am seriously disappointed

They have finally fixed this in the app, once and for all, with seconds display restored, for me anyway (Android version).

Thankyou, but what took so long ?

Happy for you. It’s not fixed on my iPhone!

I have seen other posts like this going back a while, but since I believe it still is an issue of vital importance I thought I would share it again. If your run lasted 15 minutes and 47 seconds, the app will show it as 15 minutes. As any athlete knows, having precise times is important when training and trying to improve.

I fully support this feature. My run today was 19 minutes and 52 seconds. Displays as 19 minutes. Huge difference between 19:52 and 19. Fairly worthless app in this state. And, as others have mentioned, they api has the full time. Seems like a very quick update to change the front end to display the whole time. Not sure why they're dragging their feet on this one.

Not having seconds available for runs is a major fail. Trying to get a pr in a 5k and not being able to track progress on a fitness watch is bonkers. This is such a key feature that is missing and makes a world of a difference in training and tracking progress in general.

It is incredible isn’t it? I have an iPhone so I can’t move to pixel. I love my Fitbit but just can’t believe they’re not giving us seconds!! Come on be serious!  we’re trying to stay with you but we can’t 😞

I have an iPhone too. Recently took one of the tips and downloaded Strava.  In the free trial mode so not sure what the free version will be like but it’s wild that Strava pulls data from Fitbit AND it includes the seconds. With the lack of new Fitbit devices for iPhone, I have considered eventually upgrading to an Apple Watch. I like Fitbit for the battery life and being fitness focused but it’s falling behind in my needs!
