Show "all time" weight data as individual points rather than as yearly averages

The old weight graph showed all of your weight data along with the weight trend line. I have owned Fitbit products for years, and the only reason I haven't switched is because I like having the long term data. The new graph only displays the average of each year, which is essentially useless.

I found my original data and just took screenshots. If you go to the three
dots in top right, and click "Manage Data", then click "REVIEW YOUR DATA",
you should find it all there.

OMG!  The old format is still there.  They just buried it.

From the main screen, select "Weight"

Then the 3 vertical dots on the top right.

Choose "manage data"

Then select "Review your data"  in the middle of the text, in blue.

It looks like it is all there  🙂

It's nice they added the link for us, but it's likely to go away folks get used to the new format. It won't again be the primary format, which a meld of the two would be best.- indiv for near term- last day of month (or average) for quarter,  yearly,  all timeSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Having to go into 'review your data' to see actual weights instead of averages has killed it for me.  I'll be getting something else next time.

Thanks, Maury - this present all the previous data WITH the prior format
including the trend lines, the graph background tick lines, and the BMI
historical graphs!

Well done!

Why why why do they keep making the app worse?!?! I'm so confused.

Ha! That's not changing the PRIMARY format,  and is instead allowing access to accurate data while letting  you get used to the inaccurate averages until we all stop complaining. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphoneSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Yes!! Literally made an account so I could upvote this. I've been using fitbit for ten years and suddenly noticed the new all time graph. Mine only shows 2022 onward which means it's two sad data points instead of years of data and trends. It's helpful to see how I fluctuate around holidays, pregnancies, and it serves as a great reminder when trying to lose weight of the way my body periodically plateaus during weight loss. The detailed long term weight graph was one of fitbits best features. It's the reason I've stuck with fitbit for so many years and why I've bought two fitbit scales even though I prefer other brands scales, I love the long term data. Please bring this back. I'm not sure if stay with fitbit when I'm due for an upgrade without detailed long term data

The new weight display is a disgrâce   you clearly dint understand that the new layout is using more space for nothing. Can someone fire the kid of the CEO who is clearly not able to web page graphique design and also fire the product owner who think everything is about averages   . Weight section was the only left from the old layout it was easy simple we could have so much data on a page now you just loose data in a sea of nothing just empty space everywhere   The destruction of fitbit will be an other big failure of google . Congratulations

The mismanagement of the whole thing is appalling

I'm rarely bothered by software changes having spent 2 decades in the industry usually they are for good reasons in the long run even if users can't see it right away.

This change is truly heartbreaking to take 365 date points and turn it into 1 and think you are adding value has to be the most cynical and silly software update I've ever seen.

Clearly this came from someone who was never struggling with their weight.

I have over a decade worth of data and now need to find a new home for it unless this gets reversed.

Please help us with this.

They clearly do not intend to add value. I can only assume this is a move
toward monetizing Fitbit further - will detailed data be moved behind a
paywall? There are many who use this app but pay nothing for it (myself
included). There's no incentive for Google to store large quantities of
data for free users. It would be wise to get your data out of the app while
you can. It doesn't seem likely it will be there and free much longer.

Totally agree with everyone that fitbit/Google gave ruined the app now, especially for monitoring my weight loss journey, which I'm currently doing.

I'll be replacing my fitbit in the sales with something not made by Google or fitbit because of this ridiculous change.

10 years. I have been on here for 10 years.

What pretty much everybody else said. New weight interface stinks and took away data that we used and needed. I despise having to type my weight and fat percentage in from scratch because of having to remember it all down to the decimals, because I can't see how it was compared to yesterday, and because it's now more than just adjusting one or two numbers.

Annual averages instead of all my data points? Completely useless. Like many of the rest of the people here, my weight fluctuates seasonally as well as daily and weekly and monthly. I need to see which times of the month / year I need more exercise or need to be more careful with what I'm eating. Annual averages are totally useless for this and there's no way to see if I'm making current progress.

I had a scale that automatically uploaded stuff a few years back and it worked very poorly. Only lasted for a few months before it totally stopped working. So we ditched it and went back to one that didn't upload by another company. That one is still working.

Not just unimproved, got worse. Way worse.  We have to pay for this garbage? Ugh.

Seems the detour via the "manage my data" functionality is no longer possible. Bummer!

I have found recently the swim activity has changed as well.  I took screenshot in the same week and you can see

Calories have adjusted

zone minutes is missing

average pace is missing

I'm not the best swimmer but it was nice to track my exercise. The below 2 pictures were taken on the same week when it changed.  As I look back over workouts I have shared you can see a serious difference.

I agree with all that's been said here. I've made an account to comment about this.

It's horrible how they continue to take data away from the user. Making the app LESS useful every step of the way.

I've been using fitbit for a long time. Was a big supporter, now I actively tell people to look elsewhere because of horrible app management and updates.

As you suspected the "old version" in review data has now gone.

I have used the Fitbit app to track my weight for 7 years, and through having three babies! I liked being able to see the trends (weird stuff like, oh, I always gain 10 pounds during the 5th month of pregnancy, but like 2 pounds the next month. I can't even access that information. It's all averages. I like knowing EXACTLY what I weighed.

The "average" spikes are not only useless, but unsatisfying. There is no point in tracking my weight here if that is what it will look like going forward. Please bring the other options back!! I don't care if you give an option for average weight. I'm sure that's helpful for some people. But I'm tracking DATA here, not just averages.

It is no longer in manage data either.

Is there an older version of the app that we can sideload for Android?

Really the new chart format is a disgrace.
