Single unit that works as Dongle and charging cable

In today's days, where everything is compact and sleek (and competitors already used it), the charger cable should also support syncing the device at the same time (here: FitBit One).

Would that effect the life of the battery to charge it everyday? Does the batery last longer when it is run out a little further for tose who sync more often?

The fitbit Ultra was only one dongle - charger and sync. I have no idea why they moved to two dongles for the One.

My guess is because now with the Flex, Force, and One, being different sizes, they each needed different types of charging cables, so it was easier to make one dongle for everything for syncing, and then different chargers as needed. But still, I'd really like two see them go back to what they did with the Ultra when the charging base station was also the sync dongle.

This assumes that you will be using your computer, and more specifically the one that has Fitbit Connect installed on it, to charge your Fitbit.  You could just as easily charge it from a USB wall charger, your car, or a computer without Fitbit connect installed.
