Start day of the week to be any day of the week

Allow week to start on ANY selected day to ensure that it links to your personal plan which could start on any day of the week.  For example I am in a diet program and the first day of the week in this program is Tuesdays but was not an option as currently only Monday and Sunday are.

Thank you,

Rosemary

I totally agree with previous comments that it would be enormously helpful to be able to choose the report day. I see the original suggestion was made quite some time ago so a progress response from your team would be interesting

There are probably thousands of Fitbit users that belong to Weight Watchers. Meetings for Weight Watchers members are 7 days a week. We need the option to change the week start date to ALL days of the week, not just Sunday or Monday. We need to have the Fitbit week start the same day of the week as the meeting. For example, my meeting is on Friday; I need my Alta HR start week to also be on Friday.

I think I get the fact that the 'start on' day is related to calendars, a printed calendar usually has Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week.

I have a cheap step counter that I used to reset once a week. I liked to see how well I was doing for the week. So if I started my week on Wednesday and by Monday I was only up to 30,000 steps, I knew I needed to get moving.

In my dashboard, I can step backwards. Today is Thursday 12/21, I can make it show Wednesday 12/13 to Tuesday 12/19, i.e. how I did LAST week.

I wonder if the FitBit programmers would consider allowing me to display Wednesday 12/19 to Tuesday 12/26? That would mean including days in the future. The counts on those future days would be zero. So the count for the seven days displayed would be my progress toward my weekly goal. I'd find that quite useful. Maybe not exactly what people are asking for, but useful.

Surely a FitBit should be able to handle a task that a $15 step counter handles without problems.

I've had a Fitbit for over 5 years now and I've asked from the beginning to be able to customize the start day and time of the week.  As so many others have pointed out, those of us in a weight loss or wellness program have to manually calculate our numbers to match the time frame we need.  There are also a lot of people who's work schedule is not Mon-Fri who  would prefer their Fitbit records match their personal week.   If you have to keep your records on a spreadsheet or in a noteboo, there's not much point to the site or app.

Instead of responding to users requests, the programmers have been used to rework the dashboard twice -- something that was unnecessary and has not made things better in my opinion.  If the software can handle Sunday and Monday as the start of the week, it doesn't seem like a big stretch to expand the option to any day.    And then the reporting could be set to generate 24 hour after the end of the week.

Canjie, You have said it all and so well. Any change is a matter of
priorities. The Fitbit people have clearly shown that they give liitle
value to their customers' wishes. As you point out, they've spent their
time shuffling the dashboard around to no one's betterment instead of
addressing issues like this. Very disappointing. 😞

Fitbit makes enough money and has plenty of brilliant to make this happen.
Why hasn't it been done?

Sunday or Monday doesn't help me. I am on Weight Watchers and weigh in on a Saturday. My week starts on a Saturday. I am getting to the point that once my Blaze goes belly up, I am going to shop around for a fitness tracker that will better fit my needs.

I'm done and have moved on to a different product from a different company. Tired of waiting and getting no feedback, response or care.

I am now going to unsubscribe from this thread...  peace out

I am also on WW and I need my Fitbit to start on a Friday. Fitbit staff
told me that the weeks starts on Sunday or Monday "like most of the world."

Good question, Eidell. Note that the moderator says it was sent to a Fitbit
team for evaluation in August, 2015! Where apparently they've been sitting
on it for about 2 1/2 years.

It's a shame FitBit developers don't understand that while it is true that calendar weeks start on Sunday or Monday, we aren't asking that they change the way calendars work. Instead, we would like to know what our totals are starting from a specific day and counting to the current day.

if i hadn't just bought a new Fitbit I'd move on. As much money as they
make off us, you'd think they would be more responsive to what users want.

And to think... It took a year and a half for the moderator to say they'd
think about; and now it's been another 2 1/2 years and no action yet.

HOW MUCH LONGER MUST WE WAIT FOR THERE TO BE A CHOICE OF WHICH DAY OUR WEEK STARTS ON - THE TIMESCALE IS RIDICULOUS. THINK ABOUT CUSTOMER NEEDS

I wish I could change my start day to Thursday when I weigh in. Right now only options are Sunday or Monday

It would be great if you could choose any day of the week to measure your activity and food.  Presently the start of the week is Sunday or Monday and I have weigh in day on a Friday and would like to see my activity and food intake etc in line with my weigh in day.  Presently I have to calculate it all manually.

Hi @LizHendriks I have moved your suggestion here to this existing suggestion. This would not be for the Flex 2 but in the mobile or web app. Thanks

If someone were actually to take this long-standing requirement seriously, it would also be good to be able to define the start of the *day*. We tend to go to bed 1AM+. I'd rather my "day" started at 3AM, so I didn't wake up with 1K steps already logged (some days!).

I want this to. Would be awesome to coincide with our other apps like (Weight Watchers)

So I function on an odd schedule. I work nights and every weekend. So I wad wondering if it would be possible to have your starting day of the week be any day. Right now it's only possible to have your week start on Sunday or Monday. My well actually starts on Friday. Is there any chance of adding the rest of the week to the options?
