Start day of the week to be any day of the week

Allow week to start on ANY selected day to ensure that it links to your personal plan which could start on any day of the week.  For example I am in a diet program and the first day of the week in this program is Tuesdays but was not an option as currently only Monday and Sunday are.

Thank you,

Rosemary

it would be good to be able to chose what day of the week we can start on as myself like a lot of other users will do other weight loss programs like weight watchers and as fitbit links to weightwatchers it would be good if FB had the option of the same start date as the day I go to the WW class

Yes, I totally agree. I am new to fitbit and was surprised today when my steps reset to 0. I looked for a way to change my start day and discovered there was none. I would really like to align fitbit with another program I am doing! I've read that you can change it from Sunday to Monday.....can someone please tell me how?

Currently you can only select Sunday or Monday as the start of your week for the food plan.
I personally like weighing myself on Fridays (before the weekend when I know I eat more). So I would like the first day of the week to be Fridays.
We should have the option to choose any day of the week as our first day of the week depending on our preference.

Hi @RosemaryB. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us!

I think this will be a very useful option for people for different situations where they need a different day to be the start of their week other than Sunday or Monday. I've gone ahead and forwarded your request so that it can be reviewed and taken into consideration.

Thanks again for participating in the Fitbit Community!

I see this is nearly a year and a half old, and the moderator said the request was submitted, but it hasn't even moved to the 'Under Consideration' category yet. Is this request making progress? I want my week start date on my Weight Watchers weigh in day, Wednesday.

Not impressed so far with fit bit...maybe it is because I have the flex, but there are too many problems syncing, band broke/riped/failed and this infamous insecure band when logging is such a big deal with them, there is no flexibility on the when you start each week.
Why also would you have a wrist band with lights that didn't have as much as a clock on it...I know the Charge has this...(but so does my phone) but my thought is when this product dies, (and it will die,) I probably will not purchase another. I think fitbit flex is overpriced as well for what you get. Just my $.02

Thank you,

Nick

Allow more options than Saturday and Sunday for start days.

I have my weigh ins on a Thursday, but I can only choose Monday or Sunday. This messes up my weekly totals. What do you guys think?

Dear Santa Fitbit Jan 1 2016 is a Friday but my week can only start on a Sun or Mon. So please dear Santa Fitbit, give us all a great Christmas present and allow us to track weekly from 1 Jan and not 3/4 Jan. We promise we've been very very good this year and next year we promise to be even better with your amazing support. Lots of love Debs (age 44 3/4) 💕💕🎁🎁🎁🎁

This is definately needed now that fitbit and weightwatchers have a relationship.  I just got a fitbit for christmas and LOVE IT! This is the only issue that I don't like.  My weightwatchers week starts on friday as well.

Hello

I've no idea if I'm posting this in the right place- However I came onto the fitbit site to find out how to change my start of the week day.

I found out that the only options are Sunday or Monday.

I then found the Features Request forum and looked this up. Other people have also been asking the same thing.

I have now voted (I think).

But, what now?

How do we know if this is going to become a new feature and if so when and how?

Anyone who can shed any light on this for me much appreciated.

Allison

So, this idea was submitted for consideration nearly five months ago, but it's not listed in that group. Will it be implemented or not? I'm new, so unsure how this works. I would like to start my week on Friday.

Hi, I think the option should be there to choose any day as a start week. A lot of people including myself are weight watchers members and it would be good to be able to sync our fit bit week with our weight watchers weigh day. Mine is a Saturday

YES  I AGREE!!!  Mine is Saturday start day for Weight Watchers; but I do not have that option on my fitbit.  If  fitbit is on WW, then we NEED the option to choose any day of the week.

I get weighed on a friday, please let us choose from the whole week.

I could also use this. I like Friday-Friday.

A simple code change it is.

Like a number of fitbiters I would also like a choice as to when my week begins, in my case a Wednesday is weigh day. Looking at all the comments, this must be a simple alterations, as it is unbelievably frustrating.

Obvously it has all been said before but really is it not time Fitbit gave each day the freedom to be chosen - we are not all Sunday or Monday start the week people. Both my husband and I are new owners of the Blaze model and we really would find it easier to have the choice of starting our week on a Wednesday, I cannot believe that this a difficult amendment for Fitbit to take care of. It really is disappointing not to be able to choose the day I want or indeed we want/need so all our data is accurate to our lives

My company (like many companies) have walking challenges.  In my office, employees' progress are to be reported every Thursday at midnight.  As cool as Fitbit's Weekly Progress Report is, it is useless to me since my only options are Sunday and Monday.  Please let us choose which day to get 7-day progress reports.

I like to start out my week as strong as possible, so I don't feel stress about meeting my weekly goal.  And Saturday is the day I have the most free time to walk or run.  I would love to start with a Saturday rather than play catch up against my average all week.

I also think there needs to be the option of starting my Fitbit week any day of the week.  I am a Weight Watcher member.  My week starts on Wednesday.  Unfortunately, after Sunday, all the points I have earned no longer are on my Weight Watcher site.

I was surprised to read that after more than two years worth of requests, the ability to personalise your starting day for the week still remains either Sunday or Monday only. With so many weight loss and fitness programs available and notwithstanding just simply personal preference, I think I can confidently say that the majority of users would really appreciate if this request was given some strong consideration in a not too distant future update. New dashboards are one thing but making a change in response to something like this would be seen as a real positive. Woman Very Happy

Many thanks for the support, totally agree with you about the changes to the dashboard and how frustrating it is to not have all seven days of the week available to choose from. Once again many thanks

My diet clinic provided my Fitbit Charge. The weekly progress report is delivered to my email on Tuesdays, but my clinic meetings are on Mondays. This makes my report basically worthless. It would be nice to be able to select which day I would like my Weekly Progress Report. Perhaps be able to select which day is the start of my week? So maybe if I select Saturday, it would be delivered to my inbox on Monday? Thank you in advance.
