Third-party App push notifications on Fitbit screen for All

I and many others have liked, posted, complained and begged Fitbit to allow/enable notifications.  This is a request to Fitbit to enable, at the choosing of the user of the Fitbit tracker (Charge, Charge HR, Alta, Charge 2, & Surge) to have what ever app notifications they want for both iPhone and Android devices display on the Fitbit tracker screen.  This idea suggestion eliminates the need for individual idea suggestions for types of phones or apps that people want to get notifications for, we want the choice to select which ones (like third-party apps such as BitTicker have done for us in the past).  I own a Charge HR, but I want this for all Fitbit trackers, not just mine.  Please give this a thumbs up and post comments on your agreement with this. (And yes, we all know you want Whatsapp part of these choices, don't complain about those of us that still use SMS).  It's about CHOICE of apps, not just Whatsapp.

A recent 10-08-2016 moderator (AndrewFitbit) post on the 'More Notifications' suggestion is what inspired me to do this as it suggests we divide up and make suggestions on each app feature and each device and each tracker.  That is counterproductive.  We need to unite!

Native basic text and call notifications on the Charge 2 via the iPhone is amazing, and one of the best new features of the Charge 2. However, notifications should be expanded, to include the ability to enable iOS "Reminders" notifications, iOS "Clock" alarms, and perhaps even Facebook Messenger notifications if the user so desires. There are SO many practical applications of the vibrating Fitbit notifications ability, it should be expanded from the simple text/call notifications.

Added my vote for Whatsapp notifications for the Charge 2 with iOS.  My wife has an android and gets all of her notifications.  Seems like it would be much easier to get this working on a standardized OS like iOS.

I fully agree! No one texts via normal text messages anymore. All my text messages are received via what's app and I really wish that my Flex 2 would vibrate when the what's app message came through.

I'd love for my Fitbit Flex 2 to vibrate for what's app messages with iOS too! please add it to all the trackers with this capability of notifications!

This is an excellent suggestion. I use Reminders daily for all my ongoing To Do items, whereas Calender is only used to note big items like Holiday dates etc (which dont require regular notifications). So for me that notification is not being utilised at all on my Charge2. Also, I receive at least 50% of my (text) messages via Facebook Messenger, so including that would be great also.

+1 here too. My wife has an Android and I have an iPhone, we both have the Charge 2 and we use whatsapp a lot. It would be really useful to get these notifications on the iPhone too 🙂

I just got a Charge 2 today and love it. However, even though having Text and Call notifications is great, adding the ability to receive email notifications too would be even better. I don't care about having every possible notification supported but just adding email notifications would push the Charge 2 to an Eleven. You've got the Pebble team now so I know you can make this happen!

I would love to be able to select multiple messaging apps for alerts on my charge 2. this way i could get alerts on my wrist for my sms app, my IM app, my group texting app, and my facebook messager and whatever other apps i may use later.

Would love to receive email notifications on the Charge 2. Also would love a place for notifications to remain until read (instead of disappearing after a minute or after read). You have the Pebble team now so I know you can do it.

I had a Flex, since yesterday I have a Charge 2, very happy with it, but a was shocked that whatsapp notifications and other 3rd party notifications are not included!! I've paid a lot of money and then we only get textmessages?!?! Who is texting these days?!?!? So please, please allow at least whatsapp notifications, but messenger will also be nice 🙂

And since Fitbit took over Pebble, I think they MUST allow more notifications then they do at this moment.

Hi, I found a whatsapp option... In the settings under notification
setting, messaging, you can choose between sms and whatsapp.

After Fitbit buying Pebble, I purchased the Charge 2 to replace my Pebble Original. The lack of email notifications on the Charge2 is a feature I am missing.

Couldn't agree more. Fitbit even advertises on the box just "smartphone notifications" and only specifies on the back. They've already been implemented for the blaze, why not the Alta too!
