Turn off/edit "Quick Setting" (notifications, music controls, Fitbit Pay)

The new firmware that was recently installed on my VERSA is quite irritating.  Every time I check email notifications there is  drop down menu that briefly covers the top of the screen and makes me have to wait before I can see the notifications. I do not use the Music function or quick apps on my watch and have no need to see them. Before the firmware update this was not a problem. Now it is. Please provide users and option to disable the  "quick app feature or shortcuts to music controls".

This feature has made the smartwatch stupid. I have big hands, and I can no longer use messages efficiently on the watch because of this pull down screen. Result: I don't wear it as a smartwatch or fitness tracker. I'm all for improving firmware, but when you change the UI without warning users or giving them an option to toggle the setting, you annoy them. I wonder what's the case for a refund given that Fitbit has basically broken it?

Annoying and useless feature!!

I agree with everyone else.

Since upgrading to the latest FitBit Versa version there is a 'quick settings' drop down that hides a third of the watch screen when I pull down to see my notifications. Every. Single. Time.  This needs to be removed or have an option to turn it off.

Please, please, please remove this utterly annoying "feature".  I had hoped the new 4.1 firmware would would at least have the option to turn it off, but I cannot find anything.

The suggestion to add it to the currently unused "left to right" swipe is perfect.  Please Fitbit, listen to all these complaints about this and give us something.

Yes, this music + quick settings pull down is really the worst. I already have access to quick settings with a button and I don't use music. I would argue the primary reason somebody gets this device instead of a simpler one is for the notifications; this significantly and consistently obstructs what's really the device's primary use case.

giving 2 different results....that overlap each other...... from one user action is bad usability. When i swipe down, it should only do one action, not 2.

if i could vote for this 100 times i would

Yes, please allow us to disable the shortcut bar the appears when trying to access notifications. I do not use the music/pay/quick settings bar at all, and it is quite frustrating.

Agree! This blocks half the notification screen and the wallet, quick settings and music seem to be way under utilized and not useful to most users. The option to turn this off of or make it a swipe right functionality would be much better.

This window shade drop-down is extremely annoying. I want to see the notifications, not toggles, then 2 seconds or more later then the notifications. No toggle available for this "feature."

It is annoying enough to throw the device away and go with another company who hasn't enabled an obscurement over a main feature.

It's just as annoying as like when you watch a DVD. You start the DVD, then wade through 30 seconds of menu animation, FBI warnings, etc. I just want to watch the movie.

I literally signed up JUST to say how annoying this is. When I swipe to view notifications, I just want to view my notifications or clear them. Why on earth does scrolling from the top have TWO functionalities but scrolling from the left have ZERO? I don't even use any of the quick settings, ever.

Two seconds is a long time if you're checking messages often.

C'mon Fitbit, you've been aware of this issue for at least 3 months now. It's one of the worst UI ideas I've ever experienced.

I've written directly to Fitbit about this via the Contact link because they
seem to be ignoring the thread in the Community pages. Although I continue
to receive marketing emails from them, they don't feel the need to respond
to my direct email either. I will not be buying any more Fitbit gear if this
is how they value their customers.

It would be great if Fitbit could add the ability to switch out the apps that are in the swipe down quick menu. If you dont use the Wallet or the Music Control apps, it is pretty pointless to have them so easily accessible with a swipe down from the main display. We should be able to choose which apps we want to most quickly access, like we can for the left button shortcut. For example, I would much prefer having access to the Spotify app than the Music Control app, because I do not have music on either my phone or watch, and instead use Spotify whenever I want to listen to music.

You can exchange the wallet for Alexa. As for the quick settings, most people have been as kg for this.

Hi...

It would be wonderful, if the quick access menu on the versa devices (or in every fitbit) is changeable. Eg. None of the features of the watches ( timer, spotify control) can be used while tracking an exercise with the exercise app. As the quick access menu can be accessed while tracking an exercise with the app,  on the versa devices, it would be nice if it has the option to personalize it and change the items to whatever app we decide to have quick access to... Fitbit devices are great, but pretty rigid when they come to personalization. I wish it could be improved.

Hi @MTheresa. Thank you for sharing your Feature Suggestion with the Fitbit Community. We aren't sure what you mean by quick settings floating bar and we'd like to understand this idea better. Please reply with more detail or specifics on your suggestion and how this idea would work. We look forward to your response.

From any screen on Versa 2, a swipe down shows a floating window/bar with the following icons:  Music, Wallet, Quick settings.  I don't want to see this.  It is especially annoying when a message arrives, I will swipe to read it but before being able to read the message the floating bar is seen.  It eventually disappears, retreats.  But it is very annoying. Can this be eliminated or placed somewhere as an "add feature"? Thanks
