Turn off/edit "Quick Setting" (notifications, music controls, Fitbit Pay)

The new firmware that was recently installed on my VERSA is quite irritating.  Every time I check email notifications there is  drop down menu that briefly covers the top of the screen and makes me have to wait before I can see the notifications. I do not use the Music function or quick apps on my watch and have no need to see them. Before the firmware update this was not a problem. Now it is. Please provide users and option to disable the  "quick app feature or shortcuts to music controls".

I completely agree. This is horrible. If it continues I may have to not use Fitbit anymore and find a different watch that will give me my phone notifications. Fitbit developers, please allow us to turn off this setting.

Please provide an option to disable this "feature".  I have no use for any of the options presented but must suffer from the very poor UX that resulted from this change.

Please add me to the list to make the pull down an option or disable! I don't use the music and it gets very annoying every time I try to look at my notifications..

I agree with all the comments regarding this new "feature"  - it is extremely annoying to have the quick settings menu show up when swiping down to retrieve a text message on my Versa.  Hoping that this will be removed/re-designed asap and a new firmware update made available.

I've been looking for a different smartwatch and tracker for some time... This kind of sealed the deal on moving away from FitBit if it's not fixed. This feature is excessively annoying, gets in the way of notifications I actually want and NEED to see. There are literally buttons for everything on this already built in, and you can manage the order they're in to put the ones you use most on the first pages. All of the settings are adjustable via the settings app... TOTALLY redundant and useless feature. Hopefully if the Alphabet purchase actually goes through, they'll listen more... THIS IS GARBAGE...

The Quick Settings tab at the very least needs to be an optional feature. Whenever I swipe down for notifications it automatically drops down and blocks what I'm trying to read. Then when I try to swipe down again to clear a notification, the quick settings tab comes down instead. It's incredibly annoying especially because none of the settings in "quick settings" are even settings I ever use, let alone would need to change quickly. I'd prefer to see the quick settings tabs either isolated to the left button only or at the very least be made optional

Just piling on to the Quick Settings haters. I use notifications, not Music, Wallet or Brightness/DND/whatevs. KILL IT WITH FIRE AND MAGNETS!!!

Hi @Rpmcc93. Thanks for sharing your idea about adding an option to disable the quick settings on your watch. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. We rely on feedback like yours to help us develop products and features that we know our community wants to see. Don’t forget to click on the thumbs-up to show your support!

This feature is super irritating and should be allowed to be disabled!

I agree this is very annoying.

I do NOT have the Music app installed and Quick settings can be opened with the left button on my Versa.

I would very much like the ability to turn off (or automatically not see) this extra, not needed, drop down.

I use my Fitbit to handle the notifications from my Diabetic Glucose Monitor. This update prevents me from quickly dealing with urgent health notifications. It is the most idiotic user interface design decision and kills the usefulness of notifications being sent to the Fitbit.

I find this feature quite annoying also.  I do not use the app on my phone very often anymore after the recent changes and now my Versa less user friendly.  While trying to scroll up the notifications I have to stop and wait for the music controls to disappear several times.  And then again when I want to clear notifications.  It may only be 2 seconds, but it is an annoying 2 seconds and it happens over and over and over!  Why in the world would anybody think this is a good idea??

I'm going shopping later for a new (non Fitbit) watch. My main reason to have the Ionic was to give me message alerts. I am now constantly reminded that my choice was a poor one.

Good luck all.

I find the quick settings menu to get in the way of what I'm trying to do.  Seems like it might be a nice feature, but it's really intrusive where it is located.  It woudl be nice if we could turn off the Quick Setting menu.

Agree. Awful placement for "quick settings" that have zip to do with the output for that space. Kudos for making a highly efficient feature irritating and impractical. Who signs off on these designs, seriously??

110% AGREE with ALL of these comments. The update is SO ANNOYING! I was actually googling how to get rid of the stupid drop down menu, which I can safely say majority of ALL people find to be not only annoying but USELESS, and came across this board. Take it as a hint, FitBit and get rid of this crap!!! Really considering taking the plunge and crossing over to the Apple Watch.

Whoever thought this design was a good idea, you're fired.

This pull down menu is a bad idea. I hate it. I hope Fitbit offers a way to disable it. Let people decide if they want it. I don’t use the music and none of my bank cards work in wallet so it’s useless.

I think the idea behind it was well-intended; however, not everyone uses this and there should be an option to remove/disable this feature.

I ditto everyone else saying the quick settings is also irritating.

I'm hoping @YojanaFit  is really taking all this in and working to get us a fix.  Thank you!

Came here to second this request. Please add an option to get rid of the pull down for quick settings and music in the new firmware. Complete waste and gets in the way of what I'm actually swiping down to see (notifications).

This "Quick Settings" slide-down is not needed (all settings can be done elsewhere) and is annoying. Firstly it drops down every time that particular screen is used, and I have to wait for it to clear before the screen is useful. Secondly it is possible to accidentally change the screen display (switch off motion activation, lock the brightness etc.) and yet I am never going to change these settings from my chosen ones.

I cannot use the banking app as it is not available for any bank that I use, and I do not possess bluetooth headphones, so two of the buttons are utterly useless. The third leads to unnecessary errors.

Who at FitBit thought we would need these settings to be intrusively popping up every time I get a text or warning? Please either remove it - I don't recall seeing any unequivocal support for it, and anyway the functions are available elsewhere - or put a setting in the settings page to kill it.,

Fitbit,

Please disable this option completely. Scrolling from screen is already a quick setting.

Please create a settings option to turn it off.  Thank you!

Please please please delete the new settings. Simplicity is the reason I love the fitbit. All features should be able to be turned on/off if you want. Help!!

You, and everyone else wants rid of this useless annoyance. It smells of the
way Microsoft screws up good and simple software.
