Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

Its not very truthfull, i have noticed it tells me i went to bed at the wrong time also i wear mine on my right arm but if i raise it to do anything it clocks a step so i could just sit all day moving my arm and clocking up lots of steps.

For light sensitive persons or partners, Quick View Time flashing at night (with hand movement ) can be a disturbance.

I suggest two options for quick view -

1) always on or

2) on at day -

where it could switch off during the target sleep schedule which can be set in the sleep goals.

An up vote for any solution that will disable the Quickview for sleeping periodes.  My personal preference would be a schedule that I can set in the app.

I would love to either automatically disable it by time-of-day, or just whenever it detects I'm sleeping (or at a time-of-day when I'm usually sleeping). On top of that, a "night mode" should perhaps include the option to only turn the screen on when long-pressing the button, as manually disabling the "quick view" every night still leaves me with an occasional bright light in my face when I accidentally bump the button.

My Alta wakes me and my husband up at night every time I move because it's so bright. A setting to shut it off at night would be terrific. At this time I no longer wear it at night because of this, but it would be nice to be able to track my sleep patterns.

Even with quick mode turned off, mine still lights up at least several times a night (maybe more, when I'm asleep) even without me pressing the button. It seems to happen when I move my arm rapidly, such as pulling up the sheet or blanket, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly what's going on.

Yes! It's a no brainer... how about a toggle on the unit similar to notifications toggle as well (for when at the cinema etc)..

Please enable a timer for the quick view. This way I can  schedule it to go off and come on at a specific time. This way a quick view does not wake me up at night as I'm a light sleeper her.

I, too, would love for this tracker to help with sleep tracking.  But it's very distracting to flip your wrist and a BRIGHT light hits your eyeballs in the dark bedroom.

I don't want to have to go into the app every night and every morning to turn off/on the QUICK VIEW.  The app has a sleep setting, KNOWING and HELPING you go to bed.  Why is there no night mode or sleep mode?  Seems silly to not have it.

PLEASE, put this feature in.

It would great to add this so that we would not be distracted by the watch during movies or at night

Please make the "quick view" disabled during sleep hours. Shouldn't have to manually change everynight at bed time. It lights up the room and wakes me & y husband all night long.

Yes, please! First thing that bothered me about my new Charge 2 when I went to sleep with it... It's really, really bright when it lights up in a dark room!

I'd be happy enough if it tied the quick view to the configured sleep schedule... i.e. if sleep schedule is set for 10pm - 6am, turn quick view off between those hours.

Agree, this is stopping me from sleeping

I would also like this feature but would be happy if I could choose a timeframe for the quickview to work.  Similar to the walking reminder.  I.e.  Quickview works from 6AM to 10pm.  Thanks and cheers!

There are many features that I think would greatly improve the Charge HR 2. First and foremost we as users need to be in control of the brightness - especially at night or when in a movie or other similar setting. I have a horrible time falling back asleep once I'm woken up by the Fitbit.

I fully agree.  much too bright at night and when I move my arm the room is fully lit.

I would like to 1,223 (nd) this. If it had an option to turn off the quick view at a pre determined hour, via the app or on the device itself, I would consider that very beneficial.

Please do this - don't know why it's not feature already. Annoying brightness at night but useful when awake. Needs custom field for time.

Hi all, adding to what everyone else has stated - (I'm not sure I saw this mentioned anywhere, at least not on the first page) - for FitBit users who have iOS, the app could integrate with the Do Not Disturb feature, where the user has already entered times that they do not wish to be bothered (usually because they are trying to sleep). When Do Not Disturb is turned on automatically, FitBit syncing in the background could disable Quick Check, and re-enable it when Do Not Disturb is turned off automatically.

I assume there is a similar functionality on Android devices.

However there seems at least a couple of other ways that FitBit could implement a solution to Quick Check going off during the night that I hadn't thought of, which could be self-contained within FitBit's ecosystem e.g. when your device detects you are asleep, disable quick check. Or having times the user could set themselves within the options.

I'm not particularly fussed which way the solution should be implemented, but it should be implemented - having a bright light flash in your face at night sucks, and manually turning the feature on and off every day is an annoyance.

Cheers,

Wow.. I guess I am not the only one who wants this feature implemented.

Hate the light coming on at night. I turn the wrist strap around to avoid some of the light but a mode would be very helpful.
