Turn off quick view when I'm sleeping (or at customizable times) aka 'Night Mode'

I love the quick view feature however when I'm sleeping I tend to wave my arms around which activates the display which sometimes wakes me up, especially if my wrist is close to my face.

My fitbit knows when I'm sleeping as it tracks my sleep so how about having the capability to disable quick view automatically whilst I'm sleeping, in fact don't even have it as a selectable option just don't trigger quick view when my fitbit knows I'm sleeping.

I have totally given up on the idea that FitBit scans this blog for product improvement ideas. This light at night thing is a design train wreck and they don't seem to care. I'm fearful that they are all about selling the next generation product instead of making current users happy too. Repeat purchase is a vital part of my business. I guess FitBit doesn't worry about that like I do. Good thing since I won't buy another one.

FitBit doesn't have a clue about how a customer - dependent business should prioritize activities. Right now they've got the market share because they were among the first, and have name recognition. That will change over time, and Fitbit will become another Blackberry, because other companies will give Fitbit's customers what Fitbit won't.

While the title mentions Charge HR explicitly, this feature should also be implemented on Charge 2. The display is pretty glaring in a dark room and you see it even through the blanket when moving while trying to fall asleep... pretty annoying. Would be great if I didn't had to think about turning quick view off manually each night and turning it on again manually each morning. Would  be great to have a scheduling feature in the app.

+1 fitbit charge 2 needs some way to turn off quick view be it schedule or auto detection.

Please make a function to totally disable the display during the night.

During my sleep I repeatedly accidentally push the button, the display pops up and that disturbs me and my wife in our sleep. I already disabled quick view but that unfortunately isn't enough. Disabling and Enabling the display through the app by hand or during certain hours would be great! Now my only option is to 'not wear' my fitbit at night and so miss my sleep measurements, I guess that's not where it was build for? 😉

Thnx! Maurice

A first step could be a switch in the app. menu or on the FitBit. Like theatre mode used in the apple watch.

Yes please. Light wakes my wife when I move at night. Love the product (charge 2), but may have to move to another product as the purpose for purchase was sleep and exercize tracking.

It would be great to either be able to schedule what time of the day quick view would turn on and off or have it sensitive to when your asleep and turn off until awake.

Just adding my voice to the choir to say that this feature should be standard.  And if this is too complicated, then even a simple toggle for quick view that could be enabled right on the Charge HR/2 itself would be very useful.

Yeah, I am not totally surprised anymore about how our human gadgets and tech are just not designed well. People don't seem to "get it" when it comes to designing a great UI/UX. I cannot imagine how the design team never once wore their device to bed and weren't annoyed (or their partner they sleep with) by the occasional turning on of the display. To where they would think: "Hmm, tomorrow I'll look to add a customization feature to turn this @#$% display off, or keep Quick Mode on, during the sleep hours set. That will make our customers happy." Or how difficult of an add this would be. Fitbit devices have been around for a long time so simple things like this should have been worked out log ago.

I also vote for this feature. I was really sad there is no option for that.

My charge HR was flashing too much while sleeping.

I changed for a Blaze right now, I will see if the issue is the same.

Thanks.

I really want to be able to see my heart rate outside and am often frustrated at that.  That's why I bought it.  Generally in sunlight the display is not bright enough, so I need to be able to adjust that, or it should do it automatically, as the iphone does.  Also, is there a way to adjust how long it stays on?  Sometimes I have to get my cuff out of the way and it turns off before I can see it.  I can't think 5 seconds instead of 3 would make much difference in battery life.

Thanks,

Dick

It would be an awesome idea to add a dimming mode as the screen is too bright and the main thing that drains the battery the most. Fitbit is only lasting me about 3 days time from a single charge and I disabled all the features and bells and whistles except for the heart rate sensor. I would also like for a sleep mode to be added a double tap feature to wake device up during the night as if device is tapped accidentally the room lights up like a christmas tree. Thanks

Charge 2

should be able to turn off screen totally when sleeping, as i am finding the screen comes on when it brushes with other body parts. I have quick view turned off.

and sad to find out after buying charge 2 (18/05/17) that you cannot totally turn off the Fitbit when not using it say for an extended period.

need these two Feature implemented in the next update please

thanks

Why is this taking so long?

Adding my vote to this. I would love to be able to set times for when quick view should be on or off, so it doesn't keep waking me at night.

Or, at the very least, be able to turn it on/off on the tracker itself.
