Update food list features- alphabetize list or reorder food items

PLEASE allow users to sort their food lists by alphabetical order, and to easily delete foods from their "frequent" and "recent" food lists.

It seems that there have been requests for this (in the forums at least) going back 3 years. It's absolutely ridiculous that simple features like these have been overlooked in the first place.

Was just thinking, it would be nice to also "search" within your existing food list instead of all the foods in Fitbits database. Once I enter a food I have, why would I want to search the entire food list again? I should be able to type it in and get the one I entered

Please add the capability to sort food lists alphabetically.  This will help time consuming scrolling and reading to find an item on the list.

Thank you

Good thing the Lose It app is cleaner to use for tracking food, going back to that app

I love this app, except scrolling fthrough my food list ... extremely cumbersome....Please fix....immediately!!!!.or i'll move on...and how do you delete a food item  erroneously saved that day.....? I  had to reduce the item to the minimum.. I idn't see a way how eliminate that mistaken entry.

Please make a way to delete and/or organize foods on the stored food lists!! Pretty please?!?!?! 🙏😘

Please allow the food list to be sorted alphabetically!!  It would also be extremely helpful to have a "favorite" or "recent" food pop up as one of the options when searching for a food.  As it is now, I have to scroll through my whole entire list just to find something that I have eaten... ever.  It's very time consuming and not ideal.  Thank you!

If you start typing in the food item you’re looking for, it will auto fill and you can then select it. A lot faster than scrolling.

"If you start typing in the food item you’re looking for, it will auto fill and you can then select it. A lot faster than scrolling."

ipatty -- This is true, but it doesn't pull up the item that I selected previously.  For example, if I want to enter an egg, and I have previously selected the item "egg, chicken, whole, fried", it does not list this item first.  I have to try to remember what I picked last time, otherwise I may end up with numerous different egg options in my frequent or recent list.  Does that make sense?  And... am I missing something?  Is there an option in which MY previously selected item will appear first when I first start typing it?

Thanks so much!! Smiley Happy

I would like to have a way to organize our food lists, either alphabetically or by food type category.

Yes please.  Just makes sense.  Give option to sort alphabetically.  Frequent list still shows items I haven’t eaten in  3-4 months.  Delete or remove option would also be nice.  Keep up the great work!! 👍🏼

Would you please consider incorporating something into the iPhone Fitbit app to sort your frequent, recent and custom foods into alphabetical order, I find it quite frustrating having to go down the list as it’s quite higgledy piggledy to find the foods I’m looking for. I’m sure everybody would find it easier if they could automatically be alphabetised. Also could you make it possible to delete foods from those lists also, it’s again frustrating to see a food item come up that I no longer need on the list and not be able to delete it.

Thanks,

I am a very recent IOS Fitbit app user having switched from Windows Phone (Windows 10).  In checking the forums, I'm very surprised to learn that the issue with the list of foods available on the Frequent tab for the IOS app not sorting alphabetically has been reported multiple times for multiple years.  The Frequent list on the Windows Phone version of the Fitbit app does sort the food list alphabetically.  Given the number of users on IOS versus the dying Windows OS for phones, this seems like an obvious fix for your mobile app development team.  As is, the Frequent list is just an extended version of the Recent list!  I've become so frustrated with it that I have resorted to using the desktop version.

Please consider updating the sort functionality for the IOS app to allow the Frequent list of foods to sort alphabetically as this will greatly enhance the end-user's experience.

I would really like to be able to delete from the "Recent", "Custom" and "Frequent" lists. I had started tracking a couple years ago, but I want to start over now. It is confusing when trying to begin tracking again. The foods I have listed from before, are not relevant to what I would eat now. Thank you for taking the time to read these comments.

In just one week I have entered quite a few food items which are not on the list provided. It would be useful to alphabetise my items as this list will probably lengthen as i’m a very picky eater lol. I can’t see a way to do this and wonder is it possible?

Logging food should be easier than it is!  Finding new foods to add in the library is easy, BUT please alphabetize recent foods.  People do NOT eat the same food every day - especially NOT in the same order 🙂  The fact that people have been asking for this year and year again should tell FITBIT it is needed & FITBIT should act upon it.

I use and rely on the Food Use function, but it is poorly designed. I can't control what to delete from my lists. If I delete a custom food item, I can't get it off of my daily that day. I can't organize my food lists in any meaningful way so I get duplicates inadvertently. Come on, Fitbit!  You're better than this - at least you purport to be!!

Allow searching of our own food lists and alphabetized sorting of our foods lists.  This request has been requested for YEARS by users and it's amazing that this simple request isn't being developed.   I can track my menstrual cycle but not sort food alphabetically.

Hi @thatswright, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here.

The feature exists for IOS mobile? It does for PC but not the mobile version.

1. Give us the ability to edit our food lists

2. Make Frequent and Recent the same list and give us the ability to keep way more items in that list

3. Alphabetize these lists

I used fitbit a few years ago, and while I appreciate that you all remembered me when I came back, I am a vegetarian now and most of the items on my food lists do not apply to my current life. It really is not at all logical that we cannot edit those lists.

Why are Recent and Frequent two lists? Seriously? Make it one and alphabetize it. Plus give it more lines so we can keep more items in there. Please...

Also - that list to the right? Labels? Alphabetize please...I know this is easy to do in databases!
