Bought the FitBit C4 so I could get heart data, keep track of my Crossfit workouts, and share activities in Strava where all my friends share their activities. I got the FitBit because it seemed like the best value compatible with Android. It tracks my heart rate data (and other cool stuff!), but I can't keep it with my cycling data and can't share on Strava. I think the worst part is that this was advertised to work; I feel mislead.
Since it doesn't do the a key thing I had wanted it to do, I'll be returning it to Amazon. I got it 2 days ago.
I'm sad this hasn't worked out, but since this feature request has been in for 3+ years, I don't have faith it will get resolved. I suppose I'll have to look at Garmins, though I had hoped to not spend that much money. Maybe I'll just live without any device. This was all a nice-to-have anyway. But definitely not worth paying for something that doesn't do what I wanted.
It would appear that the guys at Fitbit have no interest in this becoming available m. It is so frustrating to not be able to share non gps workouts with strava as I use it to keep my training log but Fitbit refuses to make this happen. You can get many garmin products that do transfer to strava do the transfer is possible. I too will be looking at garmin products next time if not resolved which is a shame because I really like my ionic watch but accurate data is a higher priority to me than a pretty watch.
For everyone with a Fitbit who's waiting for Fitbit to finally release this feature, try using fittostrava.com. Some dude has developed a little online tool that will find non-GPS files in your Fitbit profile and push them into your Strava profile. Not perfect, but a stop-gap for now...
Should not have to use third party apps or unprotected data transfer sites it’s a simple formula that Fitbit should know how to implement to fully use their products in conjunction with other apps and is a failure on their behalf. I personally won’t use a third party app in this day and age where it seems so easy for online fraud to take place. I appreciate someone taking the time and effort to produce this and also to show fit bit it can be done but they already know this as their direct competition is already doing it. Fitbit gurus you need to sort this out or at least release a statement on why you are not because it is either that you have a reason you won’t do this or can’t do this
Agree with you Danny023 - Fitbit need to pull their finger out and get this sorted. Even my old TomTom smart watch (TomTom is now defunct) managed to get this function since day 1 and syncs perfectly with Strava. Have absolutely no idea why Fitbit can't manage this.....
That’s the worst part they can but they won’t. They barely acknowledge it’s an issue but I know loads of customers want this feature it’s really not hard so at least inform your customer why you won’t do it then that way we can choose to take our business elsewhere because for me it really does mean the difference between which brand I will be using. Gonna give it a couple of months but after that I will be going back to garmin and will not be leaving positive reviews on my very brief relationship with Fitbit from a perspective of an individual who enjoys accurate data on my activity tracking and sharing devices.
I have completed and tracked on Fitbit both "bootcamp" and a "swim" today but neither uploaded to Strava. Having done some digging, I can see only GPS activities sync to Strava. Please sync ALL ACTIVITIES/WORKOUTS to Strava, with GPS or not. Garmin does this so should not be an issue. (Please also enable heart rate for all activities).
Hi @Squigg. Thanks for sharing this suggestion about being able to integrate all your Fitbit workouts to Strava with us. This idea was already requested in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help us to keep the forums organized and make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Click on the thumbs-up to show your support.
Wow, I am seriously considering returning my Fitbit Inspire 2. Not much sharing with 3rd parties and own app so very limited in terms of exercise it logs. No yoga, workouts limited to interval training, no indoor trainer cycling. Very disappointed with not so much your product but how you ignore your users suggestions and refuse to integrate with other apps. Some integrations requested dating back to 2016 - very basic stuff.
Can't believe that this hasn't been implemented yet. Please add functionality to allow non-GPS activities to upload to Strava automatically.
I've been using a second hand Polar watch and it does it wonderfully. So, for my next upgrade I'm looking at either Polar or Garmin - come on Fitbit sort yourself out.
Absurd this still can't be done by FitBit. Wish I had known this before ditching my Garmin and buying a FitBit. Garmin does this no problem.
It's obviously POSSIBLE. Someone made a third party tool that will do this: https://www.fittostrava.com/ You can use this in the meantime until FitBit one day decides to add this basic functionality.
gobsmacked that this was requested back in 2016 and it still hasn't been implemented. I'd be lost without https://www.fittostrava.com/ but I keep expecting this fitbit to strava swimming feature to be added every update the past few years but no movement on it unfortunately.
Hey, I can only sync activities to Strava if the GPS is used for this. Is it possible to update that activities without using GPS will also be synced to Strava. I swim regularly and sometimes it's so convenient that the sync happens, now I have to manually enter it into Strava every time.
Hi @Watvraagjemenu, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to sync activities without using GPS to Strava. I've moved it into a similar request. I think that a lot of users would like to have this option on their Fitbit devices. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

This update would allow Fitbit users (specifically versa 3) to sync their non-GPS activities (e.g., stationary workouts and swims) to Strava. Apple Watch users already can do this which makes their products more competitive in this regard.
Hi @beansandbikes, thank you for sharing this idea about syncing non GPS activities between Fitbit and Strava. I noticed a similar idea was already posted in the Feature Suggestions board, so I’ve moved your post here. This will help the team of developers to make sure the suggestions don't get confused, or split a popular vote. Don't forget to add your vote and comments to Support this idea.

Just voting and commenting to make sure someone actually looks at implementing this. I'm able to export the TCX file I want out of my iFit app for my treadmill, but I don't wear the heart rate monitor so it would be nice to have this better integrated into Fitbit. I have my fitbit synced with my strava account for GPS activities, but adding non-GPS activity support would be ideal.
I'd be happy with just manually have to export the TCX file out of fitbit and importing it into Strava, but direct integration like this would be ideal. There is a corresponding TCX file that I'm able to export from the treadmill that doesn't have GPS lat/lon data in it, so it's definitely possible.
