Hi,

I am a health coach and do a lot of work on corporate wellness.  One aspect of wellness that I consistently educate on is Heart Rate Variability and I use a Heartmath professional system with clients.  Many of my clients wear different wearable devices to track fitness and I have learned a lot about Garmin systems.  While I love the user friendly features of Fitbit, Garmin tracks HRV and it gives enormous feedback to someone who needs to see how often Stress (which raises blood fats and blood sugar) is present during the day.

I would love to see HRV measurements in Fitbit

I would love for the Fitbit Versa to have a HRV reading. I know the device already has the sensors for the option to be available. I think Fitbit just needs to create the software in the app so it can record the readings.

It would be a great addition to track an individual's readiness to train for the day. Heart rate is great, but it doesn't let us know if our body is still trying to recover or not.

This is the only reading that I see the device is missing which would make this the perfect device. I've seen post in the past about it, but would really like this to be available.

I would like to check my HRV daily on my watch. Right now I use the Inspire with the hr monitor because it is small. Happy to pay for this feature. Won't buy another gadget without it.

I would like to see a tracker for emotion and or stress level that is separate from female health, you can update your level of stress or your feelings throughout the day with a 1-10 for stress and the name of th emotion + a cute emoji of it then you can see your feelings in a chart similar to the app Stop, Breathe Think.

Any news? I'm curious if there are any apps which synch with Charge 3 for HRV 🙂

Helloooooo? The Fitbit hr already measures HRV to determined sleep data. Why is this information not provided???

Definitely need an HRV app for the Fitbit.

Yes, please add HRV.  The Fitbit should already have the data, just enable viewing.  More evidence supports the value of this number in health assessment.  It could eventually push me to an iWatch instead which I’d prefer not to do!

HRV would be great. I have now to choose another  product which is truly sad because I've been so satisfied with Fitbit so far. But I simply must have HRV in my gear.

Please add HRV!

The new WHOOP watch has done a great job on this.. FitBit, for the millions the company is spending on R&D really, the users expect faster time-to-market on these features. Unfortunately, I expected more from the new subscription service, something like HRV combined with resting heart rate and sleep quality combined to advise on whether the person should workout, sleep more, etc.. just like WHOOP.. now THAT, would make me sign-up for the premium service.

Please take this suggestion as a brainstorming exercise and not something I believe 100% can be done.

As I was writing this title, I realized this post has the potential to be controversial. I can already see comments like “we shouldn’t rely on data to parent kids” or “just talk to your kids”. So, just to be clear here, I’m not suggesting we strap a watch to a kid and parent them remotely. What I’m saying here, is that often times kids don’t want to talk to their parents regarding the extent of bullying. Also, teachers might not always realize how much in distress a child really is.

After seeing in my town 1 child commit suicide this week and another one in critical condition after taking medication, I thought there must be a way to do more. Knowing that Fitbit can monitor sleep patterns, how different would it be to monitor a child’s well-being at school? A “normal” baseline could be established and from time to time we could examine if there are any big changes.

Anyone think this could be done?

I've just purchased a Whoop.com subscription because their device monitors HRV and gives sleep/rest and training/strain suggestions based on HRV. Would prefer to use my Fitbit (Charge 3) for it, but since you don't offer this feature I have stopped wearing it...

Yes please.  Just got a new expensive elliptical and am approaching 58 years old.  HRV would be most helpful in determining progress and set Fitbit apart from many competitors.  Vote YES!

This is ridiculous we even have to ask for this! The device already records HRV!
