Water Intake Monitor Not Helpful

Yesterday's change to Water monitor is not helpful. The new monitor does not display entries in the order I enter them. So I can no longer track what my last intake was or refer back to then later. Please restore the previous version of give us the option to use it before a change.

Fully agree, plus you've removed the ability to enter a decimal point so it's lost the details that I want. Do you even bother asking users how they use the app before making changes?

yes! also its far more time consuming to log amounts drunk (especially custom amounts). old version was way more user friendly!

That sounds frustrating. Tracking water intake should be simple and clear—hopefully, they consider bringing back the previous format or at least giving users the choice.

Also, put back the ability to enter water intake in either ml or oz from the same page.  We now need to go into Fitbit settings to change from one to the other.  This last update was backwards progress and not forward.

I am happy to see that now the detail and the tile reflect the same data. Therefore, I do not agree that the previous version should be restored since my tile would not update in the previous version.

I do agree that the ability to enter a decimal would be useful.

I also agree that the detail should be ordered in the same sequence as it was entered.

There are far too many steps involved in logging water. The previous design was a simple couple of taps and done. It is now also far too easy to log data for the incorrect day.

This is something I use daily and this redesign is appalling.

Mine is broken entirely. I can only log water from the water menu, I can’t log it by clicking the plus button on the side. If I click the plus button, there’s no “submit” button at the top of the screen, and I have to force quit the app - can’t even navigate back to the previous screen. This redesign is awful.

as of 4am April 4, 2025 all hydration data has been lost / deleted. Tracking does report an average of 1 ounce per day since 2014. All was good as of 10pm 3 April 2025. The app has been removed and reinstalled, ios turned off and restarted to no effect. Online help has not resolved this loss of data and change of data logging screen within app for ios.

I lost all of my water data as of today and the new water logging is extremely frustrating as I log my water in increments throughout the day and more than often it’s my 26 oz water bottle which isn’t an easy option. If you don’t revert it, at least make it so you can add custom amounts in stages throughout the day more easily without having to add to previous amounts.

Thank you all for your comments and votes to my original post.  I have not lost my data this morning as several of you have reported.  But Google/Fitbit haven't returned the functionality of the feature either.  I'm sorry for the member who said they were switching to Apple Watch.  But I also agree that Google is the problem now with Fitbit.  Worst thing Fitbit ever did was get in bed with Google.  They can't quit messing with their own software/firmware and they've been doing it with Fitbit's from the start.  Keep commenting and voting and hopefully someone will listen.  Jerry M

I am a premium user, have an Inspire. This update loaded two days ago.

I agree with everyone—this update was not only a huge backwards step, it’s very fidgety, and not only did I experienced loss of all previous water intake data, but it doesn’t even work properly! I enter a number (48oz) and it pulls a 3 out of the air!!
God only knows how the other parts of the data is working.
