Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

If FitBit wants to expand their market share they need to create specific products for specific (and underserved) markets like kids (the GPS is a safety feature!) and aquatic atheletes. The product I'm really dreaming of is a FitBit "Dive."  A product for sailors, kayakers, snorkelers... THAT would get me to upgrade.

As a swimmer, this is my top request. I love the idea of a special case! I also worry about my Flex when I run in the rain, and if I forget to take it off when I hop in the shower.

I am not wearing a plastic bag nor am i paying yet another $100 for waterproofing from a third party....and over 2 years later, they have still not come up with an option to start the week on different days...not sure why anyone would think they are going to do anyting but replace them if needed.. Anything made of rubber on your wrist should be waterproof or so cheap it doesn't matter.

As much as they are charging, they should be able to do alot more.

I love my Fitbit charge hr & I have never had any problems with it so far. The only thing I don't like is it is not waterproof. Fitbit have made the surge & blaze & the guidelines state not suitable for swimming. I am seriously tempted to move over to Garmin. Especially as they have made the vivoactive hr which is waterproof & can be used for swimming!

i think that fitbit should make a series of waterproof bands for the flex.

It would be useful to wear whilst swimming but currently not waterproof.

We've been asking for a waterproof Fitbit for awhile now.  Garmin and Misfit seem to manage it, why can't Fitbit?

Please! Please! Develope a waterproof concept for your trackers.  I prefer your app software over the Garmin software that is buggy and has many issues.  However, waterproof is a deal breaker for me as I never remember to remove the tracking device prior to swimming.  I have many health related obsticles that I already have to remember before swimming can take place and this is an activity I truely enjoy with my children.

Waterproof would also open you up to traithalon trainers and participants.

You are one of the well know trackers for the general public and with this added feature you could expand you consumer base tramendously.

Combine this with solar/kinetic charging where there's no need to plug in - removes the need for parts to be open at all!

Lol it was already heavy with only battery inside, it would be heavier with solar / kinetic charging..
But yes to waterproof.

The current line of Fitbits is not recommended for swimming. We need a Fitbit that tracks swimming activities, distance, HR, and calories burned.

I defo think they should look at a triathlon based fitbit! Something to give the gaming a run for its money. GPS enabled, waterproof and able to calculate angular rotation so it will.give you stroke rate etc. It's a growing market and you need to expand or die! So come on Fitbit and triathlon band with all of the above cheaper than the gaming and you'll have quite a few sales!

Would like to know if there is a Fitbit in the works that will be waterproof. One that you could wear swimming, jet skiing ECT. I love Fitbit products, but saw on this seasons biggest loser, contestants wearing Garmin product swimming. Rather wait for Fitbit if it's in the works.... Please and Thank you 😄😄

Tomtom and Garmin have both brought out a tracker which is waterproof.

If Fitbit want to remain the main competitor they need to step up and make one too. Not just for swimming but a lot of people work within an industry that means they can't wear their Fitbit due to it possibly getting completely wet!

@Cindyhart - good luck! I hope they will come out with a Fitbit you can swim with but we've been asking since 2013.   No luck so far.   Go back to page 1 of this discussion and you will see the first request for this feature was in 2013.    Garmin just released their VivoActive HR which is everything that Surge and Blaze offer but you can swim with it!    I guess Garmin listened to what Fitbit owners were asking for and offered it in their product line.   It's a shame.

I think you are wright. I'm thinking its time to switch as well. At the time Garmin was in the same boat but now they have a better product on the market!

Oh well after asking fitbit for a waterproof Charge HR I gave up and bought a Garmin Vivosmart HR because CNET reviewed both and said the difference is that Garmin Vivosmart HR is WATERPROOF! I also love the touchscreen feature on the Garmin Vivosmart HR.

I've using my Garmin Vivosmart HR for a week now in the shower and at the pool doing my steps without any issues. It was different to setup for the webpage - you use connect.garmin.com - but nothing major. I love that the Garmin is smaller on my wrist and it also has the clip that I loved on the fitbit. I got a great deal last week for Mother's Day and got $20 off and Best Buy Geek Squad would set it up (I didn't need the free setup because it is easy to setup).

SO my Question is WHY Can't fitbit do the same as Garmin?

Why bother trying to get Fitbit on board they don't listen. Just get a better product from a company who understands it's target market better. You can buy the Garmin Vivosmart here: http://www.google.com/shopping/product/7489528645449803476?lsf=seller:1311674,store:1367597765684635...

Waterproof (for showing) would be more important to me than measuring atmospheric pressure.

I've owned a one, a flex 2 charge and now a charge HR everything I've read from Fitbit is that they are not waterproof. I would be lost without it so no way I'm risking it. But I will patiently wait for a waterproof version.
