Waterproof trackers

I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When??  Please make this your next release!!!!!

@Stephen85 I've seen this company but may, for newer owners, invalidate the warranty, I've had my Surge for a while now and was thinking of "upgrading" to the Blaze, forget waterproofing, this thing doesn't even have built-in GPS, it's got connected GPS and therefore needs your phone to do the GPS tracking, many people won't or can't take their phones as they may be bulky and or not waterproof either! So, to recap, my opinion is that FitBit need to introduce a waterproof version with the same features as the Surge, with kinetic/solar charging so that the tracker does not have to be removed at all!. I have a solar powered watch that needs the power cell replacing once every 5 years!!!

Over the last six months I have added lap swimming to my weekly exercise regimen. This change is helping to change my body shape. At age 54 I need all the feedback I can get. I encourage you to develop a waterproof tracker that gives accurate feedback. My Fitbit HR has made a huge impact when understanding my spinning workouts. I believe there would be a market for your product judging from all the adult swimmers I see. Please give this idea strong consideration.

I would absolutely love to have a Fitbit product that specializes in swimming laps. I consider swimming one of my favorite hobbies, except I never know what my exact heart rate is or how many calories I'm burning! I wish Fitbit had a product that was waterproof, and calculated how many calories you burn while swimming laps, heart rate, and possibly even distance swam. Of course, add a timer/alarm with it. Thank you!

I want a waterproof Fitbit! There is a company that I found that can or so it says make your Fitbit waterproof up to 210 feet. I just contacted them to see if then can waterproof my blaze. Cannot wait for the response. Online it cost $90 and takes 2 weeks. I would pay for that in a minute. Let's hope they can help. It's Waterfli.com. Why can't Fitbit do this?!??

I would love a waterproof version of the charge HR. I recently dove into a lake with it on- fully clothed as well I might add - in an effort to save my daughter from drowning. She is fine - my fit bit however is not. I absolutely love the fit bit - the feedback and motivation it gives me are outstanding! But i don't like that I am constantly taking it in and off, as a mother of three I get wet a lot between dishes, bathing, beach days etc.

Check out the Vivosmart HR. Does everything the charge HR does and more. Same size as well. FULLY WATERPROOF 50 Meters! I'm digging their app as well.

Would love to have the Fitbit Charge HR to be water proof.

I am really confused now. Considering my first fitbit. I do much of my exercise in the pool (I teach water aerobics). Some places it shows all fitbits are water resistent, but none are water proof. However, here it says that the flex and maybe another one is water proof. Need one that is water proof.

I accidentally jumped in the pool with my charge hr and it is currently in a bag of rice. Please make a waterproof fitbit so I can swim in it! Thanks!

@EricaBS - if you teach water aerobics DO NOT GET A FITBIT. I just switched from the Fitbit HR that I had for a year to the new Garmin VivoACTIVE HR for two reasons. One, ypu can swim with it and it tracks swimming. Second, after a year my Fitbit HR started to unravel at the band even though I NEVER had it near water. VivoACTIVE HR is same price as Fitbit Surge or Blaze but it's NOT WATER PHOBIC! Another tip - if you buy it at Best Buy with their protection policy you will have no hassle protection for TWO YEARS. If anything happens (and I mean anything) you walk in with your old one and walk out with a new one. Hope this helps.

Version without altimeter but waterproof. Waterproof is a must for this device to really be an all rounder. I literally couldn't care less how many stairs i climbed... if One plays football in windy conditions (10 months a year in England) it goes mad anyway.

I have had a flex and love it and the ease of use of the app however I find myself taking it off more often than not when doing normal housework due to the fact that I am afraid of getting it wet (like doing dishes, cleaning toilets, washing the car, washing nything really by hand,).

I would love to be able to shower and wash my hands and not have to worry about damaging my Fitbit! The ability to swim would be an bonus as well, but I guess if you make a showerproof one then it would be swim proof too 😃

I even bought the Polar A360 recently because it is waterproof and less stressful to wear and worry about getting wet and the only reason I returned it was becasue I hate the Polar app. Your Fitbit app is extemely easy to use and I really want to continue being able to use Fitbit BUT...

Please try making a waterproof one soon! The technology is available because other brands do it.

Please!!!

and email me as soon as it's available because I will buy it in a heartbeat!! =]

Ditto, would gladly surrender an altimiter for a FitBit that can log my heart rate and exertion while swimming. I'm a lousy swimmer so I work a LOT harder than a good swimmer for every lap! Laugh! I'll never be swimming uphill or downhill. I'd gladly have a swimming-only FitBit if it meant that I'd need a separate product for seamless integration with the rest of my FitBit way of life. I have a Charge for days I'm not riding my bike, a Charge HR for days I'm biking. Would LOVE a FitBit-H2O that could handle swimming tracking and heart rate in the water. Please please oh please!

A Fitbit H2O. That's an amazing idea! I'd pay for an extra tracker that was swim only that meshed with my regular tracker. And hello?! What an awesome name! The Fitbit H2O

That would be really awesome if there was one coming out.  Or even if there was a waterproof casing or wristband that the flex can go in (or other product types too).  Surely its something that must be possible to do?

Waterfi appears to take Fitbit Altas and water proof. Not inexpensive but from the reviews appears it might do the trick.

I have solved my Fitbit - is - not - waterproof solution.

I just bought a Garmin Vivofit

I have really enjoyed my Fitbit Zip and would have loved to stay with the Fitbit brand. But I cannot continue to wait while Fitbit is deciding whether to truly create a useful fitness monitor.

So, goodbye Fitbit

But I can't find that it's actually a fitness monitor for swimming.
Water-resist to 50m is one thing; it's a nice bit of protection for those
of us who absent-mindedly shower or swim with the device still on.

What I WANT is an in-water fitness monitor that will record heart-rate
and/or arm-strokes for a swimmer.

What do pro-athlete swimmers use, if anything?

You need a MOOV NOW then. It doesn't have a display and relief on a phone so instead and has no v vibration motor to provide alarms, but it can tell which stroke you are swimming and when you switch stroke along with recording strikes per meter and distance swam. Also provides coaching feedback post swim. provides run and cycling live choosing too via the app. Finally, it also has 7+ minute workout training and s coached boxing function.

I agree!!  Please develop a waterproof tracker with heart rate that is worn on the wrist. I swim for exercise and I need to monitor my heart rate. It doesn't need to track laps, calories or swimming speed, but it would be nice. I'd be very happy to buy something like the Charge HR as long as it was waterproof.  Even a waterproof, snap-on, clear cover would be nice. I wouldn't mind having to remove the tracker from my wrist to attach a waterproof cover each time I went swimming.
