I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When?? Please make this your next release!!!!!
get the flex2...I have been using it daily in a fitness goal of importance involving tracking mobility , sleep and exercise in and out of the water and it is the BEST!
Have been a fitbit user since the company started & have owned just about every model. Have taken quite a few swimming as well. Also a boater and water sports enthusiast. Need a waterproof model. Currently have a charge hr on its last leg and neeed to replace with waterproof model. I guess will have to bite the bullet and order a garmin vivosmart 3. If you are coming out with a waterproof "charge 3" why not announce it. If you are not shame on you.
For an activity tracker, I expect to put it on and not worry if I shower or swim with it. I've had my Fitbit charge for almost 2 years and wore it every day. I Love tracking my sleep, perhaps one of the most important functions for me, as a medical student. Last weekend I went on a great hike, expecting to track my activity and progress. Came across a waterfall, jumped in. Just when I thought it was a good day I realized that I forgot to take off my Fitbit Charge. Now I'm out $150, my activities for the day are gone, and I have to spend another $150 for a tracker that will make me worry about getting it wet constantly. As much as I want another Fitbit Charge, I honestly don't think I want to spend so much money on a new Fitbit until you guys figure out how to waterproof your products.
Waterfi waterproofs your product for $100. The fact that another company is doing this and you guys are not raises big questions. Instead of a million different products that vary slightly to the degree of one or two features, why not have 1 or 2 amazing products that do it all? Especially waterproofing... Sad to see... Take notes from Apple
Hello! I have been a fitbit user for years, and love my Charge 2...for a little over half the year. In the summer, it is useless a lot of the time because I spend a lot of time in and around the water. A tracker with the features of the Charge 2 that was waterproof and measured water activity as well would make fitbit a great year-round device for me and I'm sure many others!
I agree as well. I love my new alta hr but can't be used for swimming. I have arthritis in my knees and deepwater low impact aquafit is my exercise of choice. We are not all runners who use these devices. However I have figured out how to add my 1 hr aquafit class manually to at least capture the calories. I found a web site with a chart - based on weight & length of aerobic water exercise, it tells you how many calories you've burned. So until they have a hr / waterproof slim design tracker, I will have to settle entering my water exercise manually.
This is an excellent request. I think that having all these features in one tracker could be a terrific way to maximize time and effectiveness for different workouts! I'm pretty sure lot of users will love an option like this. Thanks for sharing your ideas and keep bringing your request and comments to the Community!
I am starting to think Fitbit is a thing of the past. Every other company out there has a tracker that does heart rate and is waterproof and they have had their products on the shelf for over a year. To make things worse other companies have not stop; they are still pushing technology and making better stuff. The manufacture of my phone has an app that not only syncs with a water proof tracker (the tracker does a host of other things) and scale but also syncs with a blood pressure unit and blood sugar unit. I hate to loss all the information I have gotten through Fitbit over the last few years but I also hate to keep waiting for the same service everyone else already has!
Come on Fitbit make your products waterproof and able to track swimming distance in pools and open water. They are very fragile when it comes to water at the moment!
@Mikler and everyone. I have just seen the Nokia / Withings Steel HR. It is available from Fall 2017, is stylish, has from what I can see all the functionality my Charge HR has, and is water resistant up to 50m.
I've waited long enough. If Fitbit can't produce something like this that I've waited nearly a year for, I will sell my multiple Fitbit devices, close my subscriptions to their services and will have no alternative to move.
You have until that watch gets to market to come up with a real alternative to it. Otherwise sadly I'll have no alternative but to jump ship. I've been one of your fans for a very long time, but sadly there isn't enough to keep me here.
Fitbit is falling behind competition, I am still on Fitbit word but not sure for how long. So far I bought 3 devices but the next one might not be Fitbit. Lots of my friends have same opinion and either already dropped on Fitbit or looking for something else.
I walk a lot in water and wanted a tracker for the number of steps I take. I purchased a fitbit flex 2 because it was waterproof. It does not track my steps. I spoke with support and was told that it would not track my steps in a pool. Can you please make one that will track my steps in a pool? I am returning this one today.
Yes Yes Yes - This is exactly what I would love to see happen 🙂 Something you NEVER have to take off! I would love to see the Charge2 or Blaze be waterproof. Would buy in a heartbeat!
I'm looking for a COMPLETELY WATERPROOF Fitbit. I love my charge2 and everything it does, I just wish it were waterproof instead of water resistant. I swim a lot for exercise and just float in the pool and it'd be nice if I could leave my Fitbit on. It'd be nice if it could be EXACTLY like the charge 2 just completely waterproof!!
