I'm looking for a completely waterproof tracker with all of the features (sleep, heart rate, steps, stairs, miles, calories, reminder to move, phone alerts, clock with date, etc) all in one. When?? Please make this your next release!!!!!
I know it's been suggested before, but may I add a reason that a waterproof device would be a good idea? I've got pretty bad arthritis and have a hard time with impact exercises ~ even gentle walking is painful to my joints. Water exercises, including swimming and low-impact aerobics (plus yoga) are about the only things that are endurable and that I do regularly. Thanks!
Please please bring out something to the level of surge or charge HR. That is water proof and tracks swimming heart and exercise, I know you can add swimming online in the dash board. I love my fit bit.... But this is 2015 surely it is not difficult for your R&D to produce this..... It will sell just on the basis you can jump in a shower with it.... Basics..., any news on the development or expected delivery of this product will be most welcome, I am sure I am not the only one that has asked....
Hello, I'm obsessed with my fitbit and am lost without it, so you understand how I feel when on my SUP or swimming. Can you create a waterproof fitbit? I need one! Thanks.
Could be next purchase point for me. As HR measuring was driver to switch from totally operational One to Charge HR, waterproof design and paddle/pool leg counting together with HR can be driver for switch to Fitbit Swim.
I agree with this completely. It is disappointing to say the least that the Fitbit Charge HR isn't already a waterproof tracker. Please create a fully waterproof tracker! Thanks!
I thought the Charge and other devices used a three axis accelerometer. It should be a trivial exercise to resolve vertical accelerations, as opposed to horizontal. A step with vertical motion can be counted. You would need to add "vertical steps" to your current "horizontal" steps. You can also tell when someone is going down the stairs.
I also would like the Surge to be waterproof for swimming, canoeing and watersports in general. Even if Fitbit could offer an option to send the Surge to Fitbit for a waterproof aftermarket upgrade this would be fine.
It is so silly. Right now I wear a watch that is waterproof on 1 wrist and a Fitbit on the other. I just want to wear the Fitbit all the time with a watch, tracker and for showers/ swimming. If it could also do hr that would be an added bonus.
I have a Garmin Swim, and I get it synced via MyFitnessPal. I check my wimming stats on Garmin's app (very good, detailed reporting) while I get the activity summary logged in on my Fitbit account almost instantly.
Having said this, if Fitbit introduced a swim tracking device with wrist HR measuring and counting laps... I would buy it immediately, and I am sure a lot of people would do... At the moment, Garmin has no competitors. Withings has announced the ability to track laps on their (very expensive) Activité watch, but no one has HR 🙂
Please make a water proof fitbit and please make it possible to use your activity tracker and still get badges for those steps. Really frustrating when I work so hard then don't get awarded them. 😞
I love my fitbit surge but it's hard to clean as per the suggestions on the fitbit help pages. A toothpick doesn't actually work, or maybe the toothpicks are wider in Canada. I'd love to have a cleaning tool.
I also saw a few people mention in active alerts or drink water warnings. I think those are great ideas.
I hear that the future trends in fitness are devices that can calculate your bloodsugar and calorie intake. I think that would be an awesome addition into a fitbit.
I'm another in TOTAL agreement, I love my FitBit HR but wish it was waterproof and could count swimming strokes or kicks (and heart rate)...I hate that I find myself considering a walk to the grocery store over a swim (which I believe is a better workout) if a Friend is about to pass me on the 7-day step-count leader board. I'll admit, I've kind of cheated and manually entered a 1.5hr walk when I actually swam laps for the 1.5hrs...just so I have steps to show for it. The benefit of FitBit is seeing the data when you are active, since it helps motivate, so I wish swimming data was better included to encourage me to swim more.
I agree with the adding of a waterproof fitbit that tracks swimming. There are plenty of other products out there that do this already, like the Garmin Swim. I love my fitbit, but I also love swimming. It's a great way for a low impact exercise. It would bring in another large market if there were a waterproof device.
It would be great to be able to actually wear my fitbit in the water. I do not believe that I didn't even burn 200 cal. I burn almost as much in yoga...it would be great if something could be worn that is more accurate.
I agree!!!!! Please make a charge hr in a swim tracker--like Garmin swim but less clunky. Fifbit is more elegant and streamlined then the garment swim and would be so much better to use and it could directly input our swimming into our devices. Lots of people who use fitbit are probably swimmers!!
I would love it if the Charge HR was waterproof so it could track your workouts while doing water activities such as swimming. I realize this might not be possible because of the heart rate monitor but it sure would be nice. 🙂
Aloha, this is not the best solution by far but may assist you for the time being. I purchased a waterproof see through ouch for my iPhone and have been placing my Fitbit inside of it then tucking it into my swim suit while I swim, SUP, etc. I too am frustrated that Fitbit has not provided us with a waterproof version or at least a case. Anyway, hope this is helpful to you and anyone else who may read this. Zestfully, Trudi
