Weight lifting feature

I lift a lot of weights at the gym and would love to track my progress in weight and reps each time to see how much I'm progressing.

Yesss please it would be amazing if this could happen. Atlas wearables and beast sensor have one, why cant my fitbit!!!

There is a simple app called FitNotes that tracks exercise, but it stores all of its info locally on the device. I use Fitbit Charge HR with the phone app and with Windows 10 app successfully. I would like to have my weight-lifting routines stored into the same fitbit database online, so the data can be accessed from anywhere. Workout name, Day name, Exercise name, sets, reps, etc.

Then add something simple to track progress on dashboard.

I checked out Fitibit Premium, but it doesn't have this.

If it were in the Premium package, I'd pay for it.

Please, please, please. Get this going soon.

I don't want a million different apps for this. One Fitbit tracker is enough. Just let us track the weight lifting data.

I would love to see weight training / strength training options added to the Charge HR and its app. I purchased my Fitbit to track my heart rates during my workout. I incorporate cardio into my weightlifting by going from one machine yo the next without resting. This intense form of exercise should be rated differently than walking, jogging or arobics.

 i know these posts are a few months old but I'm looking for a way to more accurately track my weight lifting also. I use an Android and there are a ton of apps out there that will do the Job but very few (if any) that will connect with the current fitness tracking apps I use now. It would be nice to be able to track my weight lifitng sets, reps and weight in this app. I know weght lifiting burns calories in a different way than walking or running so I'm not so concerned with what my heart rate is showing or how many calories are burned. All I want is to be able to add more detail to my workout journal when it comes to weight lifting. 

 

I've argued with other apps that i use (Runtastic) to add this feature to their app but they still refuse. They instead make new apps for workouts. Some not so bad (Runtastic Six Pack workout and their new Runtstic Results workout) and some absolutely horrible (Runtastic Butt workout). Still with any of the Major fitness tracking apps (Nike, Adidas, Under Armor, Runtastic, MapMyFitness, Runkeepr and even Endomondo) they're made for runners and walkers. Nothing is made for the people that do CrossFit or just lifts to add the WANTED detail of specific exercises, sets, reps and weight lifted. 

 

If Fitbit were to add fields for detailed weight lifting and Crossfit data, I would seriously drop the other apps. You already have a way for me to track what I eat (a bit more detail isneeded to that as MyFitnessPal has upped their game and allows you to track Micro and Macro Nutrients), a way for me to accurately track my runs and walks along with my heart rate (a way to sync with LifeFitness treadmills would be a great addition as I use those at my gym). It's pretty much the total package. Add fields for detailed lifitng and crossfit information (WOD's) and this would be a hands down total workout app and I will drop all other (Runtastic, Google fit, Fitocracy, ZombiesRun! BodySpace/Bodybuilding.com).

I'm looking for the same features as all of these users. I really don't see what the hassle is to add a few more truly "custom" field so weight lifters, people that do CrossFit and even Martial Artists like myself to add specific field that are relevant to the workouts we choose. We're really not concerned with calories burned during these exercises. 

 

I really don't see how hard this would be to add a few more fields for users. I'm sure if you did, you'd have hell-a-more users and more people that use FItBit bc of this feature. Your site would be a one stop shop. 

 

I payed the $50 for the premium features, and I'm a bit disappointed that being a premium user, these features are not available. If you would add these features, I'd drop all of my tracking apps (except MyFitnessPal. Ya'll got some catching up to do with them as they've added the ability to tack Macro and Micro nutrition) 

 

I've been going around with all of the Major fitness tracking app companies to have this feature added and ALL of them refused.

In addition to track reps, etc., I also would like Fitbit to track the length of time; start to finish as you do other exercises. i am using a Charge HR

Would anyone else love to see strenght tracking for gym workouts? Where you can input how many reps you did with how many weight and then see a graph of your progression? I just sent an email to request this feature and was wondering if there are more people out there who miss this feature. I really think they are missing a large part of the fitness community by the lack of this feature.

 

Integration in the app as well as with the blaze would be great!!!

I keep my fitness pal around only for this feature. I would exclusively use the fitbit app if this was added and would complete all of my goal and tracking needs in one place.

Agreed, weight lifting feature would be great. Start simple with creating a few work outs, adding exercises from a database, then tracking reps/weight for each set. Add some basic graphing ability too.

I have a Gymwatch and Atlas Wearable device. Rep counting would be awesome on the Fitbit and automatically updating through MFP would make it better. I hate to manually add my exercises from Fitbit to MFP.

Yes! I was just tweeting this. I don't do a lot of cardio but I do my squats, crunches, push ups etc and just wish there was a way to add each activity into my tracker and they calculate calories burned like MFP does.

I have had my Blaze about a week now and I also would love to see this feature. I mainly lift weights and have recently gotten into running but if I coudl program workouts on the app and then input weight and reps for each set on the Blaze that would make it so much more useable.

Yes, Add a weight lifting feature to track simple work outs. I would like to add a 3x3 or 5x5 work out (ex. Five sets of five reps each) at a specific weight on my desktop then at the gym just click a screen button on my Surge to indicate completion of that set. Do that five times and I'm done with that event. I have a 5x5 app now but it's not a partner with Fitbit.

Also If would be great if you could create a custom "leg day" and then it would auto set up squats, front squat, calf raises so when you are at the gym you only have to add in the reps and weights.

It would be great having the option to track the weight you lift and get the stats displayed on your Dashboard.
