YouTube Music App

It's been almost a month now and a huge product like the Fitbit has only a couple of apps, and one music app. So I was hoping you guys can add the YouTube Music app, since it allows access to a huge selection of music videos and audios. Also the app have 100 song downloaded for offline use. It chooses them based on your taste and updates them every now and then.

You can immediately see the seriousness taken about this thread. Many years already since the creation of this one !!

Under consideration is a good step and realistically I would think it's only a matter of time. I would assume it will be something that will be on the new watches, hopefully they will be more integration friendly @SunsetRunner

It would be amazing if one could take their Fitbit with them on a jog without connectivity to the phone. The following would make it a more practical smart watch:

1. Be able to download offline playlists from any music provider
2. Be able to track workouts offline, ideally with google fit

Once you get back to the phone all that good stuff sync up and your good to go

Duh!! I figured out why YouTube Music is not integrated since 2018. Read a lot of comments and begs here for YM integration. But no one, no one, said they want to use it on Earth and not when humans go to the Moon or Mars. Now FB(i ??) team know!! Watch how quickly we get YM on our watches.

Abracadabra!!

I am disabmed and the one form of exercise I can do is taking my toddler for a walk. We both love music and phones are always dying from the music alone. App compatibility for YouTube music would be amazing for us. Not everyone CNA afford Spotify and alot of us are already subscribed to YouTube premium and use YouTube music. We're not gonna pay for 2 music services for no reason so for many of us it's Spotify or YouTube premium, not both. If fitbit is owned by Google we should have more compatibility with Google based apps and gpay

It's getting close to 4 years since this was requested. How about you please get this done already

I just got a fitbit versa 3 as a replaced of my original Fitbit versa and discovered that the only way to have offline music on this Fitbit is  deezer! I find it strange that Fitbit is pushing a competing service to googles YouTube music. The versa has finally gps, but now I need to bring my phone for the music! Please add offline support for YouTube music and I will cancel Spotify premium in favor of YT music!

I'd definitely love YouTube music app support. I have premium subscription to YouTube music.

Apparently the idea is "Under Consideration" for four years. This shows how much feedback is actually valued. This a feature request to enable one google product to be used on another. It would be better if Fitbit just said that this will not be done.

The lack of a viable music app is very frustrating. I have given up. Tired
of the inadequate Pandora "Workout Collections" (mostly terrible
selections) and the "top 3" listened to Collections is absolutely
ridiculous. There is also no support for controlling the music using earbud
"taps" and no ability to access or control music while in GPS mode is also
annoying. I purchased a very small, very inexpensive MP3 player that solves
all the my music problems - something that a $300 watch cannot do!

4 years and counting.  Why don't you reply and just let everyone out of their misery and say "We will never develop any music app other than the one nobody users or had heard of before, Deezer!"

Add YouTube music to the Sense. It's all owned by Google anyway. I'm surprised this isn't a priority for you

I would also love YouTube Music on the Fitbit!

Well, with googles new WearOS strategy (including YT Music and GMaps) and the announcement they will not bring WearOS to older devices like Fitbits current portfolio, we can safely bury the hopes for YT Music on all yet existing fitbits. I think we can and should move on.

Yep, I think you are correct. I'm buying the new Galaxy watch and will get
rid of my Fitbit. I've been a Fitbit customer since their first model, but
there are better options now.

Yes Youtube music app would be great.  Now with Google and Fitbit together it only makes sense.

Since the same company that owns Youtube also owns Fitbit.  Why is there not an integration yet?  I have a Youtube Family Premium account and don't care to subscribe to Pandora nor Spotify (To control it).  3 Years is a bit too long to be "Under Consideration," if you're not going to implement it, tell us; otherwise, give us a progress update.

This is the music app we need!

I can live with no app support for older Fitbit devices.

What is amazing to me is that Google own, support and sell devices that can work with music play lists from iTunes but not with play lists from YouTube Music.

Google owns YouTube Music, Google owns Fitbit. Why does Google not have their own music app on their own device, why do they have lower quality apps for music instead? Please get on this Google.

I noticed that the request for YouTube music has been for a few years already.  I think is time for fitbit to do something about it and gives us more music options specially if we are paying for it.

So, this has been out there for a few years and it is pretty clear that if Fitbit chooses to add Youtube Music then it will require buying a new model. And, that seems to be a big if. It's just such a weird thing for them not to do. I've had a fitbit since their first model, so I have been a pretty loyal customer. I've decided to switch to the new Galaxy Watch. It has similar functionality, AND includes YouTube music. I've had it for several days now, and it has been great. It connected seamlessly with my phone (also a Galaxy, it may not work as well with other OS), and actually has way more apps which has been fun. There are two major drawbacks: the Fitbit app interface is superior to the Samsung health app, and battery life is significantly less. So far, the trade off has been worth it. I've loved my Fitbits, I wish the functionality was keeping up with user needs.

This is craziness that YouTube music isn't available in Fitbit seeing they are owned by the same company.

I've been a loyal Fitbit user but will need to move to Samsung if this no brainer idea isn't implemented.
