Would be good to have a widget that shows your progress and give you the ability to quickly add things like water and food without fully opening the app!
A widget to see my Fitbit device's charge level without having to open the app would be appreciated. I don't open the app often during off days, so I lose track of the battery level. I'd rather be able to plan for when to charge it so I'm not stuck without it when I need it most.
Nice suggestion! This would definitely make checking your challenges leaderboard so easy with a simple tap. Hope that we can see this implemented eventually. Thanks for sharing!
This thread has been going since 2014 and it's now 2017 and there is still no widget for iOS. This would be a great feature, I love my widget screen and use it a lot. I'm surprised to see from some previous comments that android does have a Fitbit widget, such a shame that iOS users are missing out
A widget should definitely be included in a future update soon. Especially for monitoring water consumption more quickly. I find it annoying to open the app just to input that I had a glass of water - the experience should be more seamless.
Make a widget for the iPhone lock screen so you can check on the workweek hustle really quickly. It can take up to a minute to actually get into the app and in the right place.
Good luck with that. I've been trying for 3 years for an iPhone widget, but Fitbit always has some excuse that makes no sense. If MFP can do it, why in hell can't Fitbit.
I think I know why Fitbit won’t make a iOS widget. I recently got a Charge 2 when my One’s battery was not keeping a charge. This basically gave me what I wanted in a widget. I wanted to be able to find out my steps without unlocking my phone and opening the Fitbit app. My opinion is that Fitbit if they made a widget, they could lose a little bit of their watch sales and even more important (to Fitbit) is that there would be much less views of the app. As you know, there are occasional sales events, also there are little ads in specific places, that would not see as many views. They want eyes on those ads etc. I see why, as far as marketing goes, but I still wish they had a widget.
Yeah, I know all that. But that applies to most widgets. As a courtesy to their customers though, it's not a very good marketing practice, in my opinion. I think it's more a problem with Fitbit's relationship with Apple, or the lack thereof. Fitbit doesn't even sync with Apples health app, or at least it didn't in the past. I have to use a third party syncing app to sync Fitbit data to the Health app. Some of us want to use the Fitbit we have until it goes out, not buy another so we don't need a widget. Fitbit says it's a technical problem, but I know better.
