"Walk the world" app

It would be useful to have an app where you could select a starting point and a goal (anywhere on the earth) and accumulate your walking steps to see how far you have advanced.  Similar to the present personal challenges, it would allow a person to walk to their own goal locations. Perhaps it would be possible to link it to google earth, where there are often photos posted of particular sites and attractions.

At would be great. Particularly as there are fewer challenges - there used to be a NewYork City solo challenge
