Any "rule of thumb" to estimate the number of users from the number of ratings?

ANSWERED

Does anyone here have any "rule of thumb" to estimate the number of users from the number of ratings of a clockface?

I am recently getting a few feedbacks about my clockface (with about 100 ratings) sometimes freezing. I suspect there might be a bug somewhere (most probably in the SDK, because it uses the unofficial 7.2.0-pre.0 version).  Before attempting to debug and provide update, I would like to know how many users are actually using it currently, if there is any way to estimate it.

Hi @r.b - good question, the way the rating system is presented isn't optimal, so many people don't see it (or if they do, can easily misrate it) combined with the fact that many people don't bother, makes it hard to estimate actual number of users.

A more traditional number of downloads has never been provided either, despite requests for it, so finding out information is pure guess work.

Probably use a ratio of 8 to 1, of users to raters.

As for watch freezing situations with the Sense 2 and Versa 4, it may not be your clock at fault as these watches do do that (or shutdown and restart also) with certain firmware versions and a manual watch restart generally cures it, at least momentarily.

If you have Sense and Versa 3 versions of your clock face and you don't get reports of freezing then it does point to firmware issues.

Thank you, @Guy_ , for your helpful answer. Yes the clock face has Sense and Versa 3 versions also, and I have not got reports of freezing, so as you suggested, it may be due to firmwares of Sense 2 and Versa 4. I will wait and see a little more.
