Hello,
because of the known issues with the geolocation-API I tried to calculate the distance I ran with the Activity-API and "today.local.distance".
I fetch this value from time to time to see how long the distance was that I ran.
Because I notice relevant differences to my Garmin tracker I wonder if this method is working at all or if this method is meant to be exact.
Does someone has experience in handling this value?
As far as I see this value is calculated without using GPS - is this correct? If so, it's not really astonishing if this value would be an (rough) estimation.

Distance is: Distance travelled, in meters.
This value does not use the GPS, but is based on your stride length and step count.
