Cannot get started in FitBit Studio

I want to create my first watch face in the FitBit Studio, I've created an account, downloaded the simulator etc. however when I follow the links to the Studio I get a web page that says:

 

That didn’t work

Projects failed to load
 
I get the same in both MS Edge and Chrome browsers.
How do I create my first project?

I think the problem was with the proxy or firewall on my work network. I have no problem at home.
