Collaborating on app with other devs (git workflow)

I'm just starting a project with another developer, and I'd like to confirm (and ask for advice) about building a fitbit os app with more than one developer on the project.

Currently a "good" workflow would be:

- Use git locally to track changes

- Create unit tests to avoid knocking something over

- Manually updating files in fitbit studio

- When publishing the application, choose one person to "publish" the application

I also assume this will change once the command line tools are published
