According to https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2302 4.1 comes with the possibility of custom always on clock faces.
Where can I find documentation on how to use that?

According to the SDK documentation, it isn't currently possible:
How do I utilize the Always on Display or microphone in my clock face or application?
Unfortunately the short answer is you can't at this time. The slightly longer answer is that we're still assessing the capabilities in a way that would make the most sense, so stay tuned for future updates. In the meantime, express your interest by submitting feature suggestions in the community forum!

In that case, what is the meaning of
ALWAYS-ON DISPLAY (VERSA 2 ONLY)
- Certain clock faces now come with Always-on Display modes.
And what are the "Always on compatible" clock faces that are available on the gallery here https://gallery.fitbit.com/category/e284fb2d-c2a0-41e7-91c6-0eca5a1ab44e ?

Good question about the clock faces that were not developed by Fitbit - looks like the SDK documentation needs to be updated.
Hopefully someone from Fitibit, or one of these authors, will reply with details.

Details will be included in the SDK 4.1 blog post and documentation, when it's released.

Did those developers get early access?
