Emoji support developing for Ionic

I'm builing out my first clock face for my Fibit Ionic and that using the Heart emoji (❤️ ) shows up just fine on my clock face, however using any other emji causes my text element to disappear. So far I've tried: 👀💩🚶🏾‍:male_sign:😀 and they all display the same behavior.

Are only a small subset of emoji supported?

I'm afraid so, and I'm not aware of any documentation that says what works and what doesn't. It's a case of trial and error.
