Is the fit bit Ionic a good product choice, because I was planning to advertise it on my website. I heard it was a great product, but I wanted to hear from someone who owned one. Thanks in advance!

Here is my personal opinion - I'm app developer also for the Ionic:
The Ionic is a solid smart watch, I can compare it to the recent Samsung watches (S2/S3/Sport/Fit2) and Garmins Vivoactive HR/3.
The Garmin Vivoactive looks very cheap - lot of plastic. The Ionic is really well worked/styled - It's really good to wear, even on a smaller wrist like mine.
The Ionic has a very good battery life with up to 5-6 days compared to a Samsung Gear S3 (max. 3 days) or a Garmin Vivoactive 3 (4 days).
The display is very bright (LCD) - brighter than Samsung (OLED) and it's more colorful and sharper than the Garmins transflective LCD. This is important to read it in sunlight.
The GPS works as good as the competitors and Fitbit has a real always on HR like Garmin - Samsung does'nt have that.
The Ionic has a very good sleep tracking - Samsung also does'nt have that.
The downside is the appstore, but it's growing and evolving. The community and Fitbit staff is much more reactive - Samsung is really not responding to anything.
Also the firmware has some issue - for now. But Fitbit guys working on it.
The price of 300$ seems much, but not that much like a Garmin Fenix with 600$ or more.
Samsung is a great smartwatch but not a sports watch.

The other thing I would add, is that although the display is bright when it is on, it is invisible when it is off. The Surge and the Pebble beat it hands down for availability

Garmin has that feature too.
Samsung can have an always on display too, but in this case the battery lifetime will be shortend to one day.
