How can I have a tile list item that expands and collapses with animation like notification shade

How can I have a tile list item that expands on tap, and shows the full content of textarea and more elements with animation?

 

Currently what I am doing is to manually resize everything and manually reflow the entire tile list, which has no animation and kinda causing some performance issue.
