How to reliably send stored data from our watch face to companion app

Hello Everyone,

So, I am planning to take Surveys from our Fitbit Watch-Face, at fixed intervals during the day. We are capturing the response and we need to reliably send it across to the companion app, whenever the device syncs with the phone next.

What's the best approach to this? We don't want to miss any survey responses that we have saved on the Watch-Face app.

File Transfer (which is more reliable than Messaging). This can be done any time the companion has a bluetooth connection to the watch; you don't have to wait for syncs.

...but I think the harder question is getting your data OUT OF the companion app.

I am under the impression that from a companion app to external servers is a simple Fetch call away, and since its from a mobile app. We have a more stable connection and route for that data. Am I understanding it correctly?

Yep; that will be fine (so long as you've got https on your server).
