Inquiries on making a mobile application for FitBit

Hello! This is my first post in the community.

 

I'm a university student studying software engineering, and I have a major project due very soon. We were aiming to create a mobile application for our FitBit device. While there is a very comprehensive guide on how to get started with FitBit Studio and the like, my companion and I are having trouble understanding some parts.

 

Is it possible to create the application on Android Studio instead of Fitbit Studio? And are the languages only limited to just JavaScript, SVG and CSS? Or can we make use of Kotlin as well?

Assuming you want to use the Device API, use Android Studio or Fitbit CLI. JavaScript, SVG and CSS only.

Current Fitbit devices don't run Android.

If you only want to access the Web API, you can use Kotlin on Android Studio.
